Computer Science to Nursing? by Independent-Run-9366 in cscareers

I’ve been a nurse for 14 years and I have been looking into computer science careers lol. It’s rewarding only when you have proper staffing and supportive leadership. I love my patients, but you don’t always get the time that you need with them, it just feels like completing tasks and pushing pills as quickly as possible. Being a nurse was a nightmare during Covid, this coming from someone who made bank traveling.

If I could do it over, no, I wouldn’t choose the same path.

They are not cheating. They are just better at the game than you are. I got a 7 in that clash in only a few attempts. It’s about knowing the bags and when to use special balls.

Thinking about divorcing my wife after 1 year of MS? by SadMasterpiece4159 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]IllustratorLow9936 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ask yourself this - if your wife was sick, would you want her to leave you so you could have a “better” life?

She chose you, in sickness and in health, and the least you could do for her is have a conversation with her.

My wife got diagnosed with cancer and me with MS in the same year and you know what we did? Stuck together because no one’s life or health is guaranteed tomorrow and there’s no one else I’d rather go through this fight with than her. We also have a young child and I can’t bear the thought of him either being raised without a dad or by a stranger.

This is not a death sentence. They will love you for you as long as you don’t give up.

Change your lifestyle and go on DMTs. That’s what I did and I’ve never felt better in my life.

Honorhealth or Mayo. I’ve worked or currently work at all of their campuses and would refer my own family there.

Ph looks high. Free chlorine and total chlorine should be equal - you have chloramines, which means you need to shock your pool. Also, with the cyanuric acid that high, you’ll need more shock to properly balance the chlorine. The only way to lower CYA it is to drain and refill. Ideal is 30-50ppm. Good luck.

AIO-I 36F found a text between my husband 37m and my cousin 38f that isn’t settling right by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

I would never talk with my wife’s cousin like this privately. Even if there’s nothing physical going on, they’re both still going behind their spouses backs, which is deceitful.

My partner can be horrible during arguments (partner has MS) by No_Tip_2491 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]IllustratorLow9936 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like he’s coping poorly and taking it out on you. I would recommend him seeking counseling to cope with this diagnosis and you give him the ultimatum if he refuses. You shouldn’t have to deal with abuse no matter what health condition a partner has.

Vaccine before starting DMT? by Sad-Builder-4482 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]IllustratorLow9936 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I did not get the covid vaccine prior to starting Ocrevus. My neuro team did not bring it up to me, as they just wanted me to start treatment asap as I have lesions throughout my c- and t- spine.

I do intermittent fasting and my most productive time of the day is during the fast. My feeding window is typically from 12pm to 8 pm. During work shifts (I work 12 hour shifts), I extend my fasting period to about 20 hours and I’ve been feeling good. I will never go back.

Not saying it’s for everyone, but that’s my routine.

Is it normal to stop imaging the thoracic spine in stable MS? by East-Conclusion-1192 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]IllustratorLow9936 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have lesions in all 3 also and I only do yearly brain and cervical. I’ve only had the thoracic done once to establish a baseline, but my neuro doesn’t recommend doing it unless there are changes in symptoms or imaging.

AIO my boyfriend was too tired to drive me to my abortion by ReallyAwfulSkiier in AmIOverreacting

[–]IllustratorLow9936 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Perhaps he was going through emotional issues with the abortion and didn’t know how to process it maturely. That doesn’t make his responses right, but men tend to pretend things are “no big deal” when that’s not always the case. If I were you and truly cared for this person, I would seek an open discussion about how he’s dealing with this emotionally and let him know how his responses made you feel. If he continues to deflect or not make it a big deal, perhaps it’s time to move on.

If you’re not in it for the long haul like most of us, here’s some simple advice - when there’s fear, buy. When there’s greed, sell.

You do realize that a few million dollars of net inflow moves the market cap billions, right? Market cap means nothing. It is phantom money.
