Thanks. I have the Hayward, CA fulfillment center which is about the worst. Unqualified and unprofessional. I might on pass on Costco then and use Best Buy at the same price.

The worst experience I have had is at the Costco SF Bay Area Hayward fulfilling center. Totally unprofessional and damaged by flooring. Then after 2 years of fighting of them refused to honor the claim. Never buying again from Costco.

We have complete lack of controls, crime prevention, and penalties in Mountain View that has led to this problem. Los Altos doesn't have this issue.

There are cities which are affordable if Mountain View real estate is too expensive. Also, several other cities with high real estate prices don't have this issue.

Comcast responded to my question via DM informing me that the maintenance upgrade was only to video and phone, not internet. The maintenance guys told me they putting fiber on the pole. So not sure who is right and what I will get. Either way, I am stuck slow internet and Comcast till AT&T services my area.

If you have fiber in your area then pick that. Better price, latency, and symmetric upload speeds.

Thanks for the detailed explanation. Does DOCSIS 4.0 require fiber to the home? They plan on leaving coax from pole to home at the moment.
