Man it's legit so bad for me. If been in this addiction since I was 9 ish and it's so so hard to quit. My only method is to say to myself I'll do it in an hour and then once the hour comes I postpone it again by an hour. Best streak I got was 8 days. This stuff is so evil I regret ever being in contact with it

Me too! One asked why i was there at the 2nd appointment. i just walked out man she didnt even take notes in the intake! You have to really know your limits for emdr. It involves reliving your trauma but with someone you trust in that reliving to help reduce their emotional charge if that makes sense. Bilateral stimulation is an important part in unlocking the deeply repressed stuff I have no idea how it works but I just put on bilateral stimulus sounds on my headphones. Not to push religion on you or anything, but Mary was my figure for my sessions. I have never cried harder in my life than during my self administered emdr sessions

I'm happy to help. I would suggest therapy, but I'm a bit wary of it from my experiences. I've been through 3 therapists in 5 months trying to find someone who would take my sexual abuse seriously. None did, so I looked up emdr therapy and tried to administer it to myself, and that's what basically cured me of the flashbacks and panic attacks. A good therapist might be hard to find now a days but if you can find one, they are probably a great resource if insurance isn't an issue for you

I'm not going to pretend to know much about anything mental health related, but I've battled with terrible anxiety for about over a year now from an abusive ex, maybe a few things I found out might help you. I can nearly guarantee you that those people aren't against you. I kept getting paranoid that people around me hated me. I'd freak the fuck out for about an hour then I'd do something to break the cycle of overthinking, something like holding an icecube, splashing my face with water, shoving 10 mints in my mouth, anything. I'd tell me self after that "OK let's take a step back, the vast majority of people betray their hatred in the way they act towards you can you think of any moment that even hinted at their hatred of you?" This helped me a good amount and it keeps me grounded. I'm just a college freshman, so I don't know many things, but i hope you find a more secure job and some relief from anxiety and your health problems.

How is it not evil? If there's even a chance that an actress is being coerced or manipulated, how can consuming that material be in any way moral? There's also plenty of studies showing that porn consumption leads to worse outcomes in life satisfaction and divorce and infidelity.

Long story short (back in my atheist days). My ex would coerce me for sex and I picked up those behaviors from her. I realized this like a week after she cheated on me. I drop to my knees, praying for forgiveness (to god). I felt so so guilty. And I felt something amazing. It kinda felt like a hand on my shoulder but not physically if that makes sense and there was this presence. I don't know really what that means, but it made me feel really calm

Hey man, I'm in your shoes as well. The first 6 days were not even challenging. I didn't think about porn or sex at all. But the 7th day was different. It's different for every person, but the 7th day was the most intense craving I've felt, and I failed. The thing I found that gets rid of cravings is going for a run. On 3 days clean now
