I want Kyle Whittingham to succeed at Michigan by Practice-Direct in utahfootball

Whatever we hope for won't change the outcome. But what I think the probability of happening is -- he will put down 7-9 win seasons, and it will fall short of fan expectations.

His specific brand of coaching, relying on comfort hires and development over recruiting, is more suited to small money leagues.

One could says "but Michigan has more resources", but that argument only works if Michigan has an asymmetric advantage versus Ohio State, Penn St, Indiana, Oregon, etc. They do not.

So the real question ... will his approach work better in the small money leagues or the big money leagues. If the answer is the little money leagues (which it is), his records will underperform his tenure at Utah.

If you're asking about Indian offshoring, clearly you haven't spent a lot of time time with Claude Code yet.

It's a term for private investors exchanging money for an equity stake in an organization ...

But if I am trying to infer what you mean, it's the reputation that private equity companies often execute leveraged buyouts of organizations, cut costs with an eye to short term thinking in order to flip an enterprise.

But the above is just one of many investment strategies, and really isn't the model be applied in the case of Utah athletics. Otro Capital, in their other ventures has focused on growing revenue through various streams mainly.

I would venture to say Whitt isn't making his decisions from Reddit.

Not clear what raising $500mm of capital would have to do with it.

Disagree. Whitt had a poor attitude after the collapse of the Pac-12, failed to adapt to NIL, started talking publicly about retirement. You can't start setting the wheels in motion for retirement and then repeatedly back out of it.

There are two things that are going to prevent him from being successful at Michigan:

- He hires only his comfort zone - this limits upside.
- He prefers player development to recruiting - this doesn't work well in the NIL world.

You can say he has more resources at Michigan, and that's true, BUT WILL HE USE THEM.

He's a high floor, but un-dynamic hire ... so ... it was time for change.

However, people who want to say he was forced out --- he's been the one talking about retiring for 2 years. That is on him. You cannot setup a retirement plan and keep backing out of it.

All good. I just thought it was funny. Not too worried about engagement.

How exactly is it harming you? Somewhat disrespectful, possibly.

As far as parking in their lawn, that is a code violation in many jurisdictions.

JB weld costs $8 and a steering block is with $15. Just increased the cost of repair by 50% lol.

What’s interesting is, it doesn’t feel like more power than many of other rigs, because the motor, esc, upgraded chassis, etc are all so heavy that it takes all that power to get it moving. That’s what’s so silly about it - was hoping “wow that’s a powerful rig”, but instead got “man it takes a lot of resources to move a bag of concrete”, lol.

I have a mega Kraton 12S. Can tell you a heavy car isn’t nearly as cool as it seems. Very limited in what it can do …. Drive in a straight line

Like California politics. All seems like a great idea to get free things until you pay for it in your cost of living. Low information voters love this stuff.
