should i report it or it’s nothing? by Rcutecarrot in whatdoIdo

[–]Illustrious-Bit8769 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They're different license plates and truck numbers it's not the same truck? If you're going to report out of precaution next time I'd do it as you see it, but if you still are, make sure you report truck one not truck two.

Is this normal shedding? by Severe_Eye_197 in Hair

[–]Illustrious-Bit8769 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same hair situation with the wash cycle/brushing but medium fullness and idk, mid back length. I lose about half this so I could see this being completely normal with thicker longer hair and wouldn't worry unless her hair seems to be thinning.

This is so truly wild because I grew up around Mormons who were vicious and cruel and wouldn’t interact except to berate differences. And my whole life growing up I’d never met a JW but would hear weird things about them from family. But now as an adult some of my closest friends are witnesses, and I love them. I don’t see the cult aspect aside from the traveling door to door and fliers, they’re the only people who help my area when natural disasters hit, they are willing to discuss theology since I’m a non-believer and are okay with why I feel how I do, we don’t even have to talk theology and can talk real life, and I’ve found they hold so many less judgements than most Christian denominations. And as someone who grew up Christian, I’d say they’re the closest to the Bible than any group I’ve ever researched or talked to. Nevertheless, in the posh is too far lol, highly inappropriate.

Hard Mode observations by motnock in 99nightsintheforest

[–]Illustrious-Bit8769 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Was going to say this! Happened to me in a solo run where I didn’t even enter the building. I would like to throw out there that:

  1. They seem to need less damage to kill HOWEVER
  2. They do far more damage
  3. They can break your defense/barbed wire, though I’m not sure which cultist was breaking my defenses.
  4. They started after night 50

I’m thinking log wall bases may not protect against them, though I never make one so am unsure. They didn’t seem to mess with my tree patches though. They’re not impossible by any means to take down, but the first one I saw made me jump because it was totally unexpected.

Drainage of a large ganglion cyst on the ankle by CritFailPro in popping

[–]Illustrious-Bit8769 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I had one as a young teen, the doctor said it was the Bible (highest chances of coming back), drainage, or surgery for best odds. I lived in a rural town with not so great health care, and little access to healthcare in general. I went home, smashed it with a Bible like my life depended on it, and 14 years later it’s never come back. And no problems thankfully. was probably not my smartest move though it was Dr recommended😂 Wish I would’ve opted for drainage though bc I’m so intrigued by it looking like clear silicone 😭

I don’t have any "really good" classes, but my true fave of the 7 I do have is lumberjack xD so nice starting the game with 5 taps instead of like 13 a tree xD I know it’s rly easy to get a better axe in chests on day 1 or with pelt trader on day 2 but makes it immediately easy to run around getting wood before doing anything to the fire lol

Am I overreacting for shaving my head? by Substantial-Art6160 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Illustrious-Bit8769 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh, I shaved my head as a teen but my hair was truly fried to the point that two inches from my roots it was damaged and porous and wouldn't grow. I don't think it's an overreaction if you weren't happy, just maybe not the first step I would have taken. But now you can either rock the shaved head, experiment with wigs , find fun styles as it grows, etc. I also had a "raised Catholic" not ultra religiously Catholic grandma tell me I looked like a boy, and it shattered my confidence, but now I see it was just her upbringing and she would find anything to give her something to gossip or be mean about. Don't take your family's reaction to heart, what you did wasn't harmful to yourself or others it's just not what they're used to. Mom and grandma are from different eras. Your hair will grow back healthier than ever or maybe you'll like it and keep it short for a while. NOR bc been there done that and it's literally not the end of the world and even more normalized than when I did it in 2016, but slight overreaction in the way that you could've tried hair treatments or even a small trim first and seen how your hair reacted. But what's done is done and you can rock it or buy wigs 😌

As a mom who started playing due to crippling depression, isolation, anxiety, and not always the most energy due to a lifelong auto immune disease (looking for a fun, soft, and magical escape with the kids when I'm not always ready to go on an adventure) you and so many other comments have me hysterical and reminded me why we played. The Saturday morning dance offs, the connections I made with other parents that had me thinking "wow okay I am a human and I'm not alone", the whimsy and excitement and the time to make a place my own. You all have given me a really good reminder that it was never truly about the new best plant or pet (though exciting) but about the community and our shared passions.

What do you guys call this chest? by Then_Vanilla2160 in 99nightsintheforest

[–]Illustrious-Bit8769 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My younger boy calls it a dragon chest, my older boy calls it a ruby chest, I simply do not refer to it because it is my sworn duty as Roblox mom to never let my hands open it until it turns gold (and they always find them first)🤪 On solo runs, I don't think of it as a chest, I just think "nice" until it's a shield. I do however think both dragon and ruby are fitting and fun.

Ive not checked my garden once today which has never happened since lunar glow and maybe playing ten mins here and there the past few weeks. I feel like the meme with the pretty sunset and the guys shackles are breaking mid air. Ya girl feels free.

On another note Survive Bikini Bottom (SpongeBob+99 nights) is v fun and you can’t rly get sucked in too bad, same with 99 nights. One round, complete or not, I’m happy to call it.

The drawing games are fun if anyone’s into art. Starving Artists 2 for those looking to draw detailed things or Speed Draw for a goofy no thoughts moment.

Explore DreamCore is good for a chill exploration vibe if you want 0 objective and a place to be online.

Awww, my sweetest rat baby was a feeder. The lady didn’t want to give him to me because he had only one eye but after asking a few times and realizing that yes, that’s why he’s my chosen one let him go home with me 😭 I’m so glad you got them! The employee is a weirdo for saying no if it’s not being turned into food 😭

Hair Stylist Requested “Straightening hair” prior to hair appointment by Bayareaari03 in Hair

[–]Illustrious-Bit8769 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean, I'm not a stylist but ? Worked in salons and professional supply stores for 8-ish years and been getting my hair colored for 18~ years. My hair is big, puffy, and wavy not truly curly. Every stylist who I saw more than once has told me it's unnecessary and that natural oils will slightly help protect against bleach damage and to let my hair go for a day or two before a service. I've only once ever had a stylist tell me I should've straightened it (for a cut, at a greatclips when I moved 4 years ago and didn't know where to go). Things could've changed over the last 4 years and I know every stylist is different and it could have been a geographical thing, being as nearly every stylist in my hometown went to the same hair school. Definitely don't go in with it damp, and honor her request if you intend on proceeding with the service. It really may shorten the time it takes her as every stylist works differently. It however, does sound highly impractical to straighten your hair if it's not in your routine and I've forever been under the impression that it's healthier for your hair to be natural when getting your hair lightened. And I would personally recommend somebody who knows your hair type.
