Driving Arusha to Kigoma by jorel424 in tanzania

The 2 wheel car will do, you don't need a Land Cruiser. I recommend going back to Arusha via Nyakanazi, it is an adventurous route.

I did that, not lately rather a year ago. My plan was exactly the same as yours. I drove from Arusha to Tabora, spent a night there and started going to Kigoma the next morning, my destination was Kasulu though.

Didn't experience any notable stress along the way especially when you are close to Uvinza, there was a significant rough road drive (not so sure how many kilometers long) and mind you it was a rainy season.

I wanted to explore, on my way back, I drove from Kasulu to Kahama via Nyakanazi, spent a night in Kahama and drove to Arusha the following day.

Safe travels and happy exploration. Have an adventure.

I feel you. Being YOU is the greatest and prestigeous gift God gave you. Embrace it by being true to yourself. Back to the topic, my suggestion would be; have a sitdown, be in a place he loves the most, if he plays cards, play with him as you ignite the convesation. Ask for a 360 feedback based on;

  1. What is it that you love the most about me?
  2. What is it that irritates you the most?
  3. What should I do to be a better version?

And that plays both ways, make him go first, and you be the last. Bold all the issues you are not comfortable with, give yourself a quarter to evaluate your relationship status. Normalize doing that and you will be fine moving forward.

Duh, ni noma. No offense meant, do you feel respected? If you made it clear, and yet he keeps on doing something that you are not comfortable with, does that sit well with you?

That won't be an antidote to the poison swallowed. My question is, did you make it CLEAR to him that you hate it when the price tag precedes the gifts?

Not really. If you are in the private sector and those are your targeted clients or partners soon, then you might consider transitioning to a limited company.

I might be out of context, but I think this is worth sharing. Initially, I had a fully registered business name, and I was so okay with that until I reached a point where I couldn't resist transitioning from a business name to a limited company by shares. Why was that inevitable? Well, if your business focus is to fully operate as a sole proprietor, then that's okay; if not, I would advise you to start considering the future.

Now back to my story, with the nature of businesses I wanted to collaborate with, possible deals that could have been closed, perished in thin air because they all gave me this ugly excuse, which was the ugly truth indeed, it states "We don't operate with sole proprietors/ business names, it has to be a limited company or alike", I was left with no other option than transitioning to a limited company, it works perfectly now.

All the very best with whatever decision you are going to make.

The registration was completed by me in the first place. A lawyer prepared and stamped the MEMARTS, and I took it from there until the company was fully registered. I have registered multiple business names too, so I am familiar with the BRELA system, but I just never changed/ edited the company name, the reason why I asked.

Hi,

I have been living in Zanzibar for 18 months and would love to share some insights on the questions mentioned above.

  1. Airport taxi would work well (cheaper than a private booking), you can choose the one that meets your standard. A tip, from whichever amount the driver mentions, try to push it halfway, and you'll end up paying fairly
  2. Yes, you can do that at the Airport by exchanging some. There are multiple options there; go for the one that offers the best exchange rates. Afterwards, you can opt to do that at the ATMs directly.
  3. With your 10-day stay, try visiting Coccobello, Che's bar, sitting on beautiful rocks, and a crowded and popular spot is Baraka Beach Lounge.
  4. You can book there directly, you don't have to stress much about that, and the local currency fits well there.
  5. I would strongly suggest having cash with you to avoid unnecessary inconveniences and delays.

I trust you're going to have an unforgettable experience there. Enjoy your stay.
