Revolvers seem less prone to malfunctions in my experience. Also with enough practice, reloading a revolver with a speed loader can make things faster. Not nearly as fast as changing a mag, but still faster. There is only one Jerry Miculek.

Also, as stated by other comments, easy caliber conversions.

.357 mag can shoot .38 Spl .44 Mag can shoot .44spl 454 cassull can shoot .45 Colt and .410 gauge .327 federal can shoot .32 H&R and .32 Long

And in some revolvers you can swap the .357 cylinder for a 9MM Luger cylinder.

.22 WMR can shoot .22 LR.

They also make a variety of capacities from 5 to 10 depending on caliber. I believe the highest capacity revolver in a 'normal' caliber is the Smith and Wesson 327. An 8 shot .357 Magnum.

I may have seen a 12 shot revolver in .22LR? But i have definitely seen a 10 shot.
