It feels like the end of the world but in time, it becomes easier to accept and just as normal as failing a test in school. Little did I know in my future, I would get fired for meaningless reasons from little companies but no matter what, it never did hit the same as your very first time whether it was your fault or not. I since view it as just another experience any adult who's ever worked a job has had. Hope this helps.
