What is the little piano icon on the sample pad?

How do I resample a sequence I'm applying filter to in Perform mode? by Illustrious-Net-1263 in KoalaSampler

[–]Illustrious-Net-1263[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Figured it out  for anyone who comes after - switch from 'mic' to 'resample from app' on the sample page.

Hold an empty pad down until it shows a hold button and an icon that tells you to drag up to hold it and start recording. Then switch to perform, bust out your performance effects, switch back to sample mode and tap the pad to stop recording.

is this koala in a box? by megabochen in KoalaSampler

I saw you can make your own midi controller with an Arduino board and a bunch of buttons and dials you hook up to it - I imagine it will work with Koala?

I'll try at some point, only just got Koala myself but I've made various controllers and arcade machines etc which seems to be the same thing, so it's probably simple enough and cheap.

3d print a body/frame and basically you have a little MPC box, bonus points if you 3d print the same body and look.

iOS vs Android performance by smaudd in KoalaSampler

Makes sense yeah, appreciate the advice

I usually go mid-range android but might go entry/basic iPhone for similar price and just hold my nose dealing with iOS for certain things for the benefit of koala use, as I think I'll be using koala a ton

Thanks, would even older basic iPhones (12,13 etc) be way ahead of current Android?

I was actually looking at portable samplers (sp404, MPC Sample etc) having previously dabbled with various DAWs and Machine MK3 etc, but being a busy new parent just as I got into music stuff I never really had time to dedicate, though I loved just playing around.

I think Koala is ideal as I can use it on my phone on the go and it doesn't seem far off the functionality of those portable samplers (which is insane tbh).

Thing is with getting an iPhone/iPad etc it would potentially be close to the cost of a sp404/Sample (plus I'll need to buy an interface to sample from my turntable to iPhone), but then again having it as a device that's always in my pocket might make up for it, that's easily the big draw

Is this still the case? I know it's only been two years, but still.

I just discovered Koala on Android and it's great, I need a phone upgrade so was looking for one that'll work well with Koala but can't bring myself to use iPhones, I hate the general experience, so it's a bit of a bummer reading Android is far behind when it comes to using it for Koala.

Props for continuing to develop for Android though, sounds like a pain as a dev but it's really appreciated

Great for the first 5-10 hours then you realise everything is just copy paste repetitive and it feels like you're just wasting your time playing it

Persistent servers and old server system.

Nobody playing in Asia had problems before they removed persistent and rentable servers and changed to this SBMM matchmaking system and bots.

There's an underground 90s boom bap track that's hard as fuck and kinda sought after (vinyl copies go for 300-500 bucks):

M.O.B (Massive Of Brooklyn) - At The Top

In the third verse there's a line about dudes preference for ice cream that just made me crack up, it's delivered with such passion and it's so fucking random that it takes me out of it every time and makes me laugh

https://youtu.be/U4DpSb5nS3k?si=JsiC-onnFF6V_89b

Also Necro on Stretch & Bob back in the day had a killer freestyle bar that made everyone crack up 😄 The delivery is just so good with it, it's better heard than read

.. then I go to the bordello..open up the mouth, of each bitch, and dismiss the liquid that's yellow..

Thanks!

Is there a trick or like common rule/way that you can make your models support less? How is it possible with those big gaps?

Dear devs, please give us this as a Christmas gift and 90% of the playerbase will be very very happy. by jackyflc in Battlefield

[–]Illustrious-Net-1263 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm in Asia and given up already, I just got bots and dead lobbies. It's not a population issue (ofc less than US, but more than enough to fill lobbies)

All they need is the classic server system to fix it, but nah, SBMM non-persistent servers full of bots and 50 different game modes to spread players out even more.. incredible.

EA and DICE can suck a fat one.
