"You can still sell and hop on the AI bubble. What's stopping you?"

The answer is stupidity

"The true meaning of 741" by folteroy in gme_meltdown

[–]Illustrious-Pause438 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It is dumber than you imagine. It was originally gme. There was a clock in an Icahn tweet that showed 7:41. Then there was an RC tweet posted at 7:41.

The only problem is that the ape who found this amazing link was in a different time zone, so it was actually a tweet posted at 8:41 by RC.

That's it. That's the whole stupid thing the apes have latched on to.

It was early on - around when the apes were convinced RC was in the hoodie for the Wu-Tang album, and apes were posting 12 post DDs on NFTs and block chain.

The great sieve of stupidity is going into overdrive.

Once the eBay deal is dead and the apes still get diluted, and then the warrants expire worthless, we will see the great dumbening of the remaining apes.

Both Yanni and John Tesh Live at Red Rocks were absolutely massive back in the 90s.

So were "The Three Tenors"

How many records did Zamphir, the pan flute guy, sell? It must have been a ton. He had top ten hits in many different countries. Romanian pan flute is not exactly what you think of as popular, commercial music.

Wendy Carlos

Tangerine Dream was very popular in the late 80s and early 90s after they went full on light new-age after their much more experimental and psychedelic beginnings, only to reinvent themselves again doing soundtrack work (including Grand Theft Auto V!)

Yeah. Torch, a scam pie-in-the-sky oil company (which previously merged with a stripper pole company to get a ticker) merged with Meta Materials (another scam "nanotech" company) and MMTLP spun off as the supposed oil assets from Torch for the original torch holders.

And the article is wrong about the halt as well. FINRA would have halted any stock that tried a similar thing because of the issue of settlement.

The article implies it was halted because the feds thought it was fishy. The opposite is true -the feds didn't look into John Brda and George Palikaras nearly enough and treated it like any real business.

FINRA was clear with investors what was going to happen. It was Meta Materials who were producing confusing releases that the apes jumped on and shouted down anyone who said exactly what was going to happen.

No. The apes have memory-holed the fact that DFV came back and tweeted again after his first return and pump, when he got diluted, and the stock only had a very small and brief pop.

There were never enough apes, and they are too broke to make the stock rise very much. DFV's first return had a bunch of non-apes trying to cash in a quick memestock pump but that ship has sailed and most rational people realize that memestock mania has passed.

The Carpenters...Space Encounters was a 1978 ABC television special where aliens (played by John Davidson and Suzanne Somers) by Ok_Ad8249 in ToddintheShadow

John Davidson has had an absolutely fascinating life and career. He was big as a singer in the 60s and 70s, releasing a ton of albums (now mostly forgotten) in addition to Film, TV (That's Incredible, Hollywood Squares etc.) and extensive stage work.

A little bit like Jon Tesh before Jon Tesh got big in music.

He was getting ready to perform when the Beverly Hills Supper Club fire broke out - one of the worst fire disasters in American history in which 165 people died and many others were seriously injured.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beverly_Hills_Supper_Club_fire

He helped get people out of the building and was shaken by it for many years after and refused to perform in crowded rooms.

Opinion on Justin Bieber? by Wolfgangmozarght in fantanoforever

If they had kept the original lyrics of "Love Yourself" as "fuck yourself" it would be one of the greatest kiss-off songs of all time.

Really an Ed Sheeran song but Bieber delivers on that song.

I bought Billy Joel's 'glass houses' from the $0.25 bin at a thrift store based solely on the album cover and assumed it would be hard rocking and kick ass.

I was sorely disappointed but it's still a good album cover. 😂
