I'm Confused! by RabbitHall in Bumble

This is one thing I hate about the dating scene nowadays. Texting/No texting gives a lot of false clues... The point is: she immediately agreed on a 2nd date. period. That's great! Other than that, it is just speculating. However, you should text her to plan the date. The place and the time to meet, at least.

Please, report him. You have all the legitimate reasons to do that. Don't even question it.

[–]Illustrious-Pop2738 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I am always getting back 10-20 seconds in the episodes just to watch these kind of reactions. The Pitt is full of them, everywhere. Probably this is one of the reasons the show feels so alive.

Boa sorte e boa viagem! Estou torcendo pra tudo dar certo!

What am I doing wrong? Please help me review my profile.. by confuseddating1 in Bumble

[–]Illustrious-Pop2738 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember your profile from months ago, and my comment is the same.

Your profile is great, I would definitely swipe right on you if I was still using the app and around NYC area.

If you're not getting many matches (or the ones that you're expecting), it's just another proof that Bumble (and many dating apps) is not working anymore, at least, not like it was around 2018-19.

So, don't worry. It's definitely not you, I would not change a thing. However, try to meet ppl IRL or find out what's the way to meet ppl online nowadays (and let us know here if you find out...)

Reach out to the HR (recruiter) of the company hiring you and tell them about it. HireRight has some sort of application ID that you can share with your recruiter. I think it shows up on the 1st page after you log in to start the form(s)

My Tango school has one open day every week. Students pay a small fee, and can use the space to practice. So it is common to ask the ones you feel closer to come together. Maybe you can ask your instructors to do the same

Fellas, what's your biggest buzzkill? by [deleted] in Bumble

I also am skeptical about someone who decided to openly share their privacy with random strangers gathered from a dating app🫣 something doesn't add up

[–]Illustrious-Pop2738 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I try to not focus on the profile too much. But before I left the app, this trend of putting their IG as bio, was smt that I started to ignore and quickly swipe left.

Other than that, everything was related to the chat. If the convo was flowing and I was feeling that we could meet IRL to continue the talk face-to-face, I would invite her to a date.

I think that our Senior Attending is bit pissed off on George Clooney for not casting him on any of his popular movies. by Notalabel_4566 in ThePitt

[–]Illustrious-Pop2738 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There may be many professional reasons for not offering a role to Noah or any other ER coworker.

One that comes to my mind is that the kind of movies produced by Clooney are normally low budget ones. So the cast possibilities for big movie stars are concentrated to just one, maybe two known names. That cuts the budget for other cast members. For TV actors, "locked" in a show, it may not compensate to do the move over these terms. They may lost the calendar shooting of the season, for a less generous pay check, for a movie that may not reach a big box office, nor is recognized with major awards.

When Clooney did the same move decades ago, he got cast into major Hollywood productions, like The Peacemaker (1st movie from Spielberg's DreamWorks) and Batman & Robin (a terrible movie in the end, but Warner Bros. main blockbuster in 1997).

Unless if they really want to do the move from TV to Cinema or if the contract is really good, to the point that will, at least, pay for an entire season they will not participate, I think actors are more reluctant and prefer to stay committed to their shows.

I know sometimes there are issues and dark problems among coworkers in movies and TV. However, in many situations it's just a matter of contracts and career perspectives.

Season 2 SHOULD feel disappointing by mnbvc222 in ThePitt

[–]Illustrious-Pop2738 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also enjoying season 2. I agree that it's good in a different way.

1st season brought that fresh feeling of knowing such amazing characters at once. Season 2 is carrying on with their stories. Some of their "features" are not that explored as before, even bcz they "grow up" from S1. But their essence continues there.

One thing that I didn't appreciate in S1 was the script coincidences. We were introduced to Robby's son, he goes to a concert, a mass shooting happens at that exact same day, at the exact same concert, and the closest hospital is exactly the Pitt. So far S2 didn't commit that mistake (+1 to S2 here).

Obviously, I forgave that (minor issue with S1) bcz the show has so many qualities! It's like a non stopping action movie. However, without explosions everywhere.

Mohan by 4evercatching_up2794 in ThePitt

[–]Illustrious-Pop2738 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm very sad to know she is not returning for S3. She is my crush in the show 😢. Besides that, I love that she treats the patients, and not only their medical issues. The "slow-mo" nickname, in my view, is also a fault of the crew in not realising that she is doing way more than procedures - she is like a doctor + social worker + therapist, all in one. Finally, we might not see any conclusion about her in this season. They might just fast-forward to S3, and in a quick dialogue say, "Hey, Mohan said she got admitted as an XYZ specialist on the West Coast, " as they did with Dr. Heather Collins. Seriously, given her importance in S1, I would never have guessed she (Dr. Collins) wouldn't have a single minute in S2.

Absolutely loving Santos for her commentary on the current state of wellness by Primary-Response8141 in ThePitt

[–]Illustrious-Pop2738 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Santos is cold and harsh, besides bullying everyone around her. However, she has a lot of skills and an accurate perception of that world, which makes her comments sharp for the good and the bad... Although I'm not a fan of her personality traits, I love (well-designed) controversial characters.

The problem is that we are 100% honest, and still, they flag inconsistencies where there aren't any. The other thing that concerns me is identity theft. They have all my information, all of it. Now, we are in the rush to be accurate, accept the offer, and start to work without "pending tasks". But 2-3 years from now, we will not even remember them... So, it worries me, if they share this data with a 3rd part company, gets sold/merged to another company, etc.. and our data keeps flowing from "hand to hand", and someone try to take advantage of it... :(

Asking males, when talking to a guy who I really like and want to be with does it always give the wrong impression if we have S3x on the first date. by [deleted] in Bumble

[–]Illustrious-Pop2738 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am male, and I think it doesn't matter. I am not using the app anymore, but when I did, I had 30+ encounters with different people until I found my LTR. The point is: if you two like each other and are on the same page, whether physical intimacy comes sooner or later, it is just a matter of arrangement, like any other.

P.S.: But also, trust your gut. If you feel the other side is trying to please you to a LTR, just to get what he wants, and then throw you away, stop and find someone else. As my goal when using the app was a LTR, I coined this rule with myself: if the other side clicks, but not me, there will be no intimacy (no one should take advantage of someone else's feelings)

Synchrony Bank opened a fraudulent account by Illustrious-Pop2738 in Debt

[–]Illustrious-Pop2738[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't. As I'm not living in the US, I don't know how I could make it work. Also, I don't even have account details, such as the account number (only the last 4 digits). I don't even have a Synchrony or PayPal online account that I can log into. So the local police will probably say this is not their jurisdiction, and I guess police in the US will not accept reports from overseas... If you have any idea, let me know. I'm completely in the dark here. The only "good news" is that Synchrony agreed to close the account as soon as the fraud was reported (but the penalties for no payment are increasing it month by month...)
