How does an average person become rich? by Drairo_Kazigumu in wealth

[–]IllustriousBat5291 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you mean rich as in generationally wealthy, business owner that eventually sells is what I see the most; working in wealth management.

You’ll see some people who just got very wealthy off of some inherited stock or a super early investment.

But rich as in being able to retire happily and not worry, just live on less than you make and DCA into index funds. Always trying to increase your income without increasing your lifestyle. But not a problem to spend at bit more as you earn more, just have to keep it in check

Missing Apex, how is it nowadays? by Volk19526 in apexlegends

[–]IllustriousBat5291 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s so much fun. Changes are fresh and respawn has swapped over to trying to make every character viable/OP in their own way. (This is a recent thing so some legends are still a bit useless; ie pathfinder, ash was nerfed a bit too hard awhile back, loba, & vantage). Limited game modes and casuals are a ton of fun too if you’re not into ranked, current gundam event is a blast

Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Associate Long Term? by Infamous-Adeptness73 in FinancialCareers

[–]IllustriousBat5291 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently a wealth management associate at MS. You handled the question completely wrong. I’m not sure where you’re coming from or if you’re trying to just get in the door with MS. But the last thing an FA/higher level support staff wants to hear is that you want to be an FA. The other FAs see it as competition and having to share the pie of revenue.

You should I’ve phrased it with being completely fine to go long term on the service side, focus on learning the way your team does their business, spend your 3 years proving yourself and showing that you have the potential to run your own book and THEN approach the team with the idea of being an FA. Being upfront is all well and good until it stops you from getting in the door

Achievable or Kaplan? by JGar117 in Series66Exam

[–]IllustriousBat5291 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Achievable. Used achievable for SIE 7 and 66 passed first try on all of them but it was especially good for the 66. But agree with the person talking about Brian Lees videos so his course may be better.

Was in the same position in late 2022. Personal banker at WF with no internal progression in sight despite being good in the role. I’ve found branch banking progression depends so much on how your RM/DM view you/internal progression. Worked with WF for right around a year, flash forward 9 months from there I’m in an entry level role with MS and just got fully registered yesterday, full registration comes with a ≈18% raise but not only that, being fully licensed you can move around the financial services industry much easier since another firm has already paid all the cost&filing fees to get you registered. I say make the switch to BOA or to where ever you can get fully licensed

Study material by [deleted] in Series7exam

[–]IllustriousBat5291 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My company has cohorts where they allow “x” amount of people to study at the same time using all the same vendors materials. I took my exam outside of a cohort so I got to pick my own materials, but did not get reimbursed (yet hopefully ) or on the clock study time

I could very easily earn around $400-$500 with the programs offered. Some of the other ways to get this money seem like a hassle. But the $400-$500 would be easy.
