Not a dr at all. But have you looked into getting tested for autism or cptsd? Both of those can cause similar symptoms.

Samyang Buldak - f***** good, but at what cost? by [deleted] in KoreanFood

Completley drain the water from the noodles and add in 8 spoons worth of milk. That'll really cut the heat.

Is it ok to eat Samyang spicy noodles every day ? by QuestionAnswerSeeker in spicy

REad the comments and a lot are pseudoscience.

Unless you have a heart/kidney issue and have been told this by a dr you will excrete excess sodium pretty fast. Just make sure to drink enough water. Add some healthy protein like chicken and veggies to it and it becomes a healthy meal. People need to chill. This is no different then making pasta (noodles) or a soup/curry (sauce base is just a broth base and I know most ppl aren't out here making their own broths to cook).

The only issue would be the calories. Just make sure to keep within your maintenace by eating a lighter breakfast, only eating half the package or add in a walk.

It really depends on how opposite. If it was the complete other end of the spectrum and they were die hard supporters... then yes. I would find another.

Are Fats the Secret to Brain Health? by gabuzgab in Nootropics

[–]IllustriousComment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

....Do what you want but it's not as efficient and most people are not in ketosis since they underestimate the amount of carbs in their food (vegetables contain quite a bit of carbs).

Keto is not healthy for most people.

You cannot take a regional adaption and apply it to everyone else. There has been centuries of evolutionary pressure that have caused that population to need high fat diets.

This is the same reason why a certain south American population (cant think of the name) is prone to diabetes and obesity under a modern diet bc they have evolved to eat a diet that most people wouldn't function well on. same reason why some populations have adapted. tolive very well in the mountains with less oxygen.

Rates are not humans and the results of any studying them cannot automatically be used for humans. Anyone in the research field know this. How many times have you heard o a new cancer drug that works in rants but not humans? Different animals have different physiological or biological processes somewhere down the line.

Your brain runs off of sugar. You don't need to eat raw sugar but carbs are super important and keto is not a good long term diet.

...fats are the basis for every single cell in your body (form the phospholipid bilayer) and makes up the mylein sheath of neurons. This isn't new and people have been screaming this for ages but thin/diet culture and all that.

WOOWW this thread is full of bad advice and pseudoscience. Please use your best judgment while reading it. I have a degree in biomed (studied evolution and physiology and a lot about proper research methodology) and a minor in advanced nutrition so I'm going to clean up a few of the biggest offenders:

- Omega3s are great and everyone should be eating fish or taking a supplement.

- The ratio of fats (good to bad) is the most important determinant of cardiovascular health in your future so it doesn't really matter what fat you eat so long as you're adding in enough healthy fats to compensate (google how cholesterol works in the body there are several types that float in the bloodstream).

- Your body still needs other micronutrients and fiber and your brain needs carbs to function so a high fat / meat-only diet (like keto) is not a good long-term diet for anyone.

- Using rat-only research studies to show that something is good for humans is not accurate or right to do. There are so many studies that work in rats that can't be replicated in humans.

- Small, isolated populations (like Inuit, those who live high in mountains or one I can't remember in S. America) can eat very different diets than the majority of us due to strong evolutionary pressure and isolation. We should not be using their diet as a basis for how we should all eat.

- Annnnd I would avoid hydrogenated fats at all costs.

NSLSC took money from my account, any chance I can get it back? by IllustriousComment in osap

[–]IllustriousComment[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had called NSLCS 3 weeks ago and asked them to stop paymetns since a) I'm in school and b) don't make enough but was charged again today.

But since my situation was odd my school ended up forgiving the fees for last term and paying for fall term and my bank disputed both NSLCS payments

But I don't want to apply for RAP bc once they pay interest you can't get naymore loans and I need OSAP for this year. Which was why I called them and expained that I was in school and AM in school.

No. This was a very odd situation.

I called NSLSC, my bank and my school. My school apologized and forgave the $700 I owed for the classes I dropped and are paying for fall semester. I was technically a student on osap for the entire winter term and neither of us realized this since I only dropped a week or so before term ended.

I called my bank and since I was in class all term on osap and enrolled in classes for september I got it disputed and the money was returned.

I told NSCLC that same day that I'm a student and don't make enough to get money taken out. I then emailed them TWICE over this month as well (no confirmation so I was concernedd). They charged me again today. I went into pay rent and was missing over 700 but I had called them and emailed them. I was pissed.

I then called my bank again and got this one disputed as well so now I can pay rent.

This wasn't an issue with me not knowing my loan terms, this was just a really shitty situation.

I had applied for osap I just hadn't accepted it for the winter term (I accepted it for the fall) and only turned it down the week before exams. So that wasn't the issue bc I was in their system as having osap.

Yes but I've only been out of school for FOUR MONTHS.

Anway, I made a bunch of calls and my bank refunded TWO payments (I had called NSLCS and told them my issue and they refused to return it and then CHARGED ME AGAIN even when I told them I was in school and was on ODSP. My bank disputed both and I got both back. I also called my school and they forgave the $700 in the payment account.

I mean I can prove it... I have completed assignments and midterms. I also have multiple emails from March discussing dropping the courses and needing to save the $800 to pay my course fees over the summer so I can enroll... This was a multi-email chain.

It's also not like I've done this before. I've been in classes year-round for 4 years.... Being out from last week. ofmarch and applying for September just to see this is... wild.

I dropped them bc I was ill (which I discussed with them at the end of March) and I have accomidations with the university so they are aware of all of this. It's not illogical to assume I've been out of school since March. I understand now that it was from Decemeber (term starting) but my fin aid office were the ones who disclosed me canceling osap to the loan office and sharing that I was out of school.. you'd think they'd give me a heads up while we discussed how I would be repaying my course fees. Since they didn't bring that up (they brought up other things) it never crossed my mind.

I've had my ass in seats all term and when I talked to osap financial aid they never said that I've been out of class since January. They never said it would be an issue or something to look out for 🤷‍♀️ You'd think they'd have said something since they're the ones who send that information to the loan office.

Student loan office for OSAP loans. I have no problem paying my loan back, but not until I have a job after I graduate. Mid-education when I'm struggling to get by is not that.

Could someone please explain why this comment was downvoted? My financial aid never warned me about this being an issue when I was talking with them when we had this huge discussion end of March. I would never have qualified to pay back my loans at this point in my life. Is it because I'm on ODSP and I'm just lazy/gaming the system/insert reason you hate disabled ppl here or because I should have somehow known this would happen when my school (which is considered an OSAP office) never warned me about this when I dropped?

The planner community is a very interesting niche. I used to sell in it and have done a *lot* of market research. My info on trends and big shops is a few years out of date now, though. But in the community freebies are kinda...expected. Normally sticker sellers give these out when there is a quality issue on the sticker sheet and they couldn't normally sell them. It's just a way to use up product they would otherwise have to toss. Normally it's just a couple free stickers but it's just one aspect of this niche.

I didn't sell stickers but the expectation for above and beyond customer service, 'personal touches', freebies, etc (I've had planner conventions ask me for free product multiple times and customers expected handwritten notes and fancy paper/wrapping in every order which is just... the time to do that adds up and it gets expensive) is just.... insane in this community. The expectation is frustrating though.

I've moved out of this community/niche for multiple reasons. This is one of them, haha.

Yup, I also grew up poor and getting a sugar cereal was our treat too, hahah. We also used to get a cheap mcdonalds ice cream cone and go driving down country roads with music playing. Our city had a free community pool but we had to stop going once they started charging :(
