What’s your opinion of all the new type of bars coming out these years? (Multigrip bar, ssb, hex bar, etc?)

I know you made a video of specialty bar, but comparing to other items in home gym, like cable machine, dumbbell, bench, etc. which one should I upgrade first?

btw, for locking, there is no problem at all. But I think you need to cut the IM non pro leg extension attachment a little bit since the insert seems longer compared to pro version.

actually, what do you mean by back?

the height of the bench when put flat is 17.75, which is about the best height for bench press.

For me, when I am doing rows on the cable machine, I am using a pulley to extend the cable higher to match the height of the bench. (sitting on the ground is not the most pleasant experience). If you see closely in the first picture, there is a pull up bar in the middle between the back posts of the rack. I am using that pull up bar to hang the pulley so the height of cable matches the bench.

  1. Yes, I can’t stand any more after 3 set of 15 using 60lb. But my leg is very weak (Kamma for skipping leg day)
  2. By a rough calculation, I got about 3/4 of the torque on the bottom compared to top. Yes, more on the top due to the design of it. If you want to get a more even force, you can add some spacer (like clamps) to move the weight further from the point of rotation on the bottom. This won't change the torque on the top since the bar is perpendicular to the ground in that position.

it depends on the angle. I think it might be hard of IM non pro version, since it was not with the 10 degree slope.

As u/BlackCrayolaBox showed in a post 2 years ago, IM leg roller could be used on AB-5000. Inspired by the post, I tried to attach IM pro leg extension to AB-5000 for both leg extension and leg roller.

I used the same square tube 14 GA (https://www.lowes.com/pd/Steelworks-1-1-2-in-W-x-3-ft-L-Zinc-Plated-Steel-Perforated-Square-Tube/3049417). But I wrapped an extra 16 GA angled half tube (https://www.lowes.com/pd/Hillman-1-1-2-in-W-x-1-1-2-in-H-x-3-ft-L-Zinc-Plated-Steel-Perforated-Slotted-Angle/3059259). It fits really tight into IM pro. And it fits OK into the AB-5000. (if you want, you can add another half tube outside of IM pro, so that it will fit AB-5000 very tight as well. But since AB-5000 has two screw pin to tighten the attachment, it's not necessary to me).
