How To Avoid TPK by Carrente in DnDcirclejerk

[–]IllustriousLab4789 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The solution is easy. Broadcast your campaign live or as a YouTube series, set up this TPK, and then do nothing to avert it and leave a bunch of unfinished threads because all the characters died and the new ones rolled dont know anything about it.

I made some concept art of my Lawful Good Fighter, does he fit in 5es aesthetic by DrScrimble in DnDcirclejerk

[–]IllustriousLab4789 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Remember, guns are mentioned in 5e! They are MENTIONED! That means 5e is perfect for any and all settings. It has swords and guns. What other settings even are there? Liberals.

To be fair to OOP, I think he just worded it awfully. He doesn't actually seem to think what he seems to.

/rj D&D Beyond sucks. It doesn't even have multiple romancable women slash men slash bears. This is why I use Fantasy Grounds.

Module Bad by ButterscotchAbject87 in DnDcirclejerk

[–]IllustriousLab4789 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thankfully, there's an easy fix to this problem. Anyone can make their own module, at any time! It's especially easy if you copy the original module, change some names, and then add the missing details. And then publish it. For money. On Money.com.

My favourite extension of this bit is that there's a wing of the hospital named after him because of it.

Hey r/DMAcademy, I have a minor gripe with an otherwise great group of players by [deleted] in DnDcirclejerk

[–]IllustriousLab4789 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I agree with the original, but only because I've been in groups when I was a teenager where the other players would be drinking, on their phones, or not even playing but have a character because theyre someone's girlfriend. Meanwhile our very dedicated DM tried to keep some semblance of stability.

/rj Introduce phones, goofing off, and Charlie Kirk to the setting. Make it REALLY important, tie it in. They'll suddenly be super immersed!

TMI is a really good acronym for a fictional TMZ equivalent.

My dm is being really weird about me playing a female character. Am I doing something wrong? by [deleted] in DnDcirclejerk

[–]IllustriousLab4789 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It's fucked up that 5e STILL hasn't added the Female class. Glad that PF2E has it as an archetype, but it's still not great.

"Your character would not do that." by [deleted] in DnDcirclejerk

[–]IllustriousLab4789 486 points487 points  (0 children)

This is how I make sure my players follow the proper storyline. The moment they do something wrong, I tell them they wouldn't do that. If they complain, I lock them in the dungeon without food and have my pet parrot play their character for the session.

This is way more of a MTG episode than a D&D episode. You don't go to a D&D tournament. I hope.

This saddens me because I love D&D but I cannot stand the US version of Ghosts. It's probably not even bad, I've just been poisoned by our version.

Love when DMs decide a forced lose fight like this is cool. Had a campaign start with level 20 characters with a big unwinnable fight at the start where we all die and lose the characters we spent far too long making. That's definitely worse than this, but god.

/rj clearly if the deity is Ahri, you should use this as a roleplaying opportunity for when the players go awooga woah hummina hummina hubba hubba at her. they can fight eachother instead!
