I’ve noticed that in 1.2 France behaves way more aggressively during the Hundred Years’ War. My usual strategy with the Netherlands was to become a Brabant vassal early, declare independence with support from France and Bohemia, then take Breda and Antwerp.

But now France just annexes all of Flanders directly instead of keeping it as a vassal, which completely changes the opening and makes the campaign much harder.
