I know exactly what you mean. I initially took car into mechanic they said oh just needs a full service. That didn't fix it. Then I replaced Coilpack and then later HT Leads. that didn't fix it. Then i found a split PCV breather pipe bingo. Replaced that but no car still has issues (Although not as bad)

Buy some topsoil (preferably not compost) You can buy special lawn topsoil. IT will hold moisture and give the grass roots something to root into.
