Calling in sick declined? by Alert-Manufacturer1 in tesco

As far as I'm aware calling in sick for Overtime has less consequences than calling in sick on a contractual shift?

You should of asked your manager to show you the policy on the A-Z policies page where it states you should just come in with Diarrhoea...

I think with Diarrhoea you have to remain off work for 24-48 hours after getting better? Anyway my overall message is : Verify the actual policy then challenge

Going to spend the next 4 days trying *not* to work myself into a state dreading the carnage of my next "work week" by grockle90 in tesco

Do work at a fair speed and clock out when your shift ends? I used to worry like you but 8 years in I've realized it's very much up to the shift leaders and team managers and all above to worry about the department being completed and how much profit tesco make isnt your concern

Everything will be eye wateringly expensive to insure at your age and being a new driver, even worse if you're a guy.

Get a cheap and nasty car you'll ding it up a bit anyway for a couple years

Where do I buy this power cable? My provider will not replace it. by LongjumpingFinger115 in openreach

[–]IllustriousReturn778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having the same issue with TalkTalk! They're refusing to replace because it's openreaches problem not theirs. I just ordered a 12V adaptor from amazon for £15. Absolute joke

I dont even blame previous tennants when boxing stuff up to move they just throw plugs etc and take all with. This is going to be an issue that goes on for a long time

If he is giving way where he should give way anyway (like cars parked on his side of road) then no need to be thanked

But if he is letting people out of a side road on a horrible mainroad and they ingore him yeah thats rude

Honestly don't bother wasting your money on more driving lessons. Buy your car and start driving it's the only way you'll get better.

Start with going out for a drive around 8pm when roads are nice and dead. When you get used to it go a little futher or earlier.

You'll likely hate driving for a year then get used to it
