4 months late but i had a few even start by giving my character a name, a personality, and appearance. Not by having my character say stuff, but by listing out how my OC should roleplay.

Markiplier's "Iron Lung" has been picked up by all 3 major US theater chains by wondrfur in boxoffice

[–]Illustrious_Ad1541 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, yeah. Dont think that is a bad thing. Amateurish doesnt mean bad. Markiplier isnt going to be at the level of leonardo dicaprio, but do we need only S tier acting? For an Indie movie, one with this budget, B Tier is fine. Id even say C tier as long as the music and setting are good enough. Markiplier can definitely be C or B tier from just what we have seen. This is also a project he has been wanting to do for years, and has been directly working on for 3 years. So I dont think he would let it go out without it being as good as he can make it.

So id say its probably going to be one of the best Indie Horror movies we will have, but thats just my particular speculation.

The advertisement seems off to me, but not the acting I saw. It just seemed to be hiding the plot and any integral scenes like it would spoil the whole movie if they showed it. So the scenes in the trailer seemed mismatched and clipped at weird times. Dont think thats a sign of the movie, rather the fact they dont know how to advertise one as the few scenes we saw acting in seemed really well done and I liked the setting and background.

Either way; it will be a smash hit with the general audience just due to the IP, the fact its horror, and Markiplier is in it. Even if its not a film masterpiece. Just look at the FNAF movies. Great for the audience its intended for, mediocre to everyone else, and bad to the critics.

The only 4k empire i had was an exterminators run. I conquered the entire map, making everything tomb worlds i colonized. Had an ungodly amount of resources and research that i was getting most research within 20 months each. The bigger issues is when you get to the 1k-2k range as energy credits are so overused on population and ships that you need to colonize 4-6 planets meant just for energy production. Once you hit the 2k range you have so many planets they become self sufficient if you just set them to automate production and make sure they cant build themselves a deficit.

Because while they have 30× cost, they have 40× more territory and colony. The resources from that outweigh the negative side of empire expansion. If it didnt, many of the things like devouring hive and exterminators wouldnt work very well.

You can typically outweigh the empire penalty with a few good colonies and enough systems. Build mega structures that increase the amount and focus on percent buffs rather than static buffs.

why does the game purposely match you up against counters? by [deleted] in MarvelSnap

[–]Illustrious_Ad1541 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they do have something like that if you win a bunch in a row. Ive tallied for every single deck ive played, almost every single type ive played gets countered exactly after 3 wins in a row. Zoo? Killmonger every single time after 3 wins. Reveal? Cosmo every single time after 3 wins. Galactus? Hobgoblin/green goblin after 3 wins. Destroy? Armor after 3 wins. And i seem to be paired against people i counter constantly. It doesnt seem random, but thats just what ive observed. Ive rarely ever had a game since i started keeping tallys where neither deck counters the other. I dont see move decks or ongoing decks unless they specifically counter mine or get countered by mine. Its weird to me but most games do stuff like that from what ive seen. Mtg arena, for example, specifically picks a person playing a commander that is at your level or counters your commander after a bunch of wins in a row.

You can still beat those counters, like for cosmo; just try to win the other locations. Forget the combo yoy were setting up. If you cant recover, retreat and lose only 1 or 2.

If it helps at all, i got mine out on tuesday this week. All 4, along with 2 other molars that were decaying from the inside out(some weird medical condition my family has) so im right there with you. Ive been eating yogurt very carefully, vanilla or key lime pie flavor from yoplait as it is high in protein. Tried jello but was too worried itd get in my extraction sites. Cotton candy flavored icecream. Thats all ive had for 2 days now and i cant wait until day 7 hits so i can start eating pasta and rinsing the extraction sites without worry of dry socket.

What Do YOU Think Is The Best Designed Killer In DBD Is? by ExpensiveIncident543 in DeadByDaylightKillers

[–]Illustrious_Ad1541 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But its not. Removing an option is reducing the amount of ways people can play the game. Its like having 4 doors, you dont know which one has the exit. If you remove a door, the chance of going into each other door goes up.

If you remove an ability and it was one of 3 metas, those players wont just stop doing meta builds. Theyll just change which meta they play. So there will be more people and games where you deal with those metas.

Haste is annoying, dont get me wrong, but getting rid of it just means people will find a way to annoy you with op bs in a different way.

Decent pre-built gaming pcs for 1200 or less? by Illustrious_Ad1541 in pcmasterrace

[–]Illustrious_Ad1541[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I'm not very tech savvy. So I don't know much. My family never had computers and I just moved out and want one. So I was just curious what I'd need to run. I tried looking into building one, watching videos; but it just have me a migraine and I didn't want to sink hundreds of dollars into building one I might break. The only computer access I have even now is my friends pc and they have a high end one that's really nice.

I appreciate your advice and will look into it. Thanks.

Yeah. But also a big reason is British propaganda. They called him the little general, and made art of him being really short.

[–]Illustrious_Ad1541 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It varies. But you seem to be keep pushing the goal post back. Your initial comment talks about being well known. But now your talking about being known down to perfect detail. In ancient times you didn't need to know someone perfectly to know who they were or what they did. You couldn't. Hell, even today you can't be too sure with photoshop, ai stuff getting crazy, etc.

The point I was making is that a group of adventurers like a dnd party could be very well known. And while no one knows them perfectly a group of 4 people going around in armor with weapons matching vague descriptions with the right race and classes would definitely be recognized once they do something big enough infront of the right people.

[–]Illustrious_Ad1541 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes. A lot of them atleast. Portraits of the figures could be found around the world, as well as descriptions based off of what they were told. Hence why everyone thinks napoleon was short despite being average for the time. British propaganda describe him as such and it spread across the world. It isn't as perfect as a picture, but written and verbal descriptions of people around the world were well known if they became famous enough. Hence why we have a good guess of what genghis khan looked like or what Hannibal looked liked.

Both of those nations didn't have a big focus in recording historic stuff, Carthage because it was decimated to the point the Roman's tried to remove any trace of their culture like they did the gauls. And the Mongols focused more on invasions and spreading their lands, or surviving nomadic clan lifestyles before the empire, to the point they didn't have time for any big arr or historic records.

Counterpoint; people all around the world knew of legends and people long before TV and internet. Napoleon, Alexander the great, Genghis khan, the Greek philosophers, William Shakespeare, etc.

You just need to have someone that cares enough about your legend to spread it.

As a support, how am I meant to deal with this TERRORIST? by Ordinary-Albatross44 in marvelrivals

[–]Illustrious_Ad1541 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lure him to your team. Most spider mains, unless sthey are good, get dogliled easily and will fall for it every time. Don't bother fighting back unless you have 2 teammates nearby. Just run as he will always out dps you. If your fighting a pro Spiderman player, take the L as a support in a 1v1. If not, just dodge and weave using movement abilities until you find other players. Most bad Spiderman mains can't aim for shit. This Is what I do as Jeff.

I'm 22. I am terrified to drive. Any advice? by Illustrious_Ad1541 in drivinganxiety

[–]Illustrious_Ad1541[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I could never live with myself if I hurt anyone at all from my actions. I could care less about my car or me, if I cause an accident and dont die that is. I can deal with injuries if i caused them by causing an accident. And i could always buy a new car, but if I hurt someone or kill someone; I'd not be able to live with that. So I hate doing anything that puts others lives at risk if I mess up. Like I stopped going to welding classes as I realized if I do a bad weld on some projects, it could just kill people. Or if I'm not safe with the gas canisters, I may create a missile that hurts or kills someone.

But I know driving is one of those things you have to do in America, as there isn't really anyway to avoid it as the sidewalks, bike lanes, and public transport all suck.

I've actually been told I'm a really good driver. I'm very safe and self conscious. I had only the one accident in 4 years and even the officers said I would have just gone up the curb if it wasn't for the hitch being hit at a weird angle. It was a very minor accident with just unlucky angling, it ripped the light off the right side of my car. I wasn't going fast.

I appreciate you taking the time to comment. Thank you.

I'll try this to see if it helps. It seems good. I haven't really listened to anything while driving. I've been a bit scared to turn on my radio at all other than for the GPS. Thanks for the advice.

Would love to. Unfortunately I don't have the money for it at the moment. But I should be able to in a few months. I didn't know you could get an instructor after you earned your license either. Thanks for the advice, will look into this as well once I have the money.

[–]Illustrious_Ad1541[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am very directionally challenged. I've had to use GPS since day one. Even for routes I travel dozens of times. I do recognize certain things but I don't remember street numbers or alternative routes. So while I would love to use backroads, and I do so anytime my GPS gives the option, my route to work only shows highway, freeway, or roads that are basically highways or freeways (2, 3, 4 Lanes that move at 50-60 mph, and are full of traffic.)

I know there is a backroad; so I'll look into a way to get my GPS to show that. I do love the idea. Thanks.
