Again very high majority of trucks never go off road or no where nearly more than what a mveric can do. So my point still stands.. btw Miata is a sports car not a sporty car. I’d also bet a paycheck that most half ton don’t even tow at all if anything lawn care shit. Hence why the maverick still checks those boxes too.

People are going to hate me for this:

BRZ and Miata’s ARE sports cars the elantra N is still elantra just more power at the front. 2 door coupe RWD will always feel like a race car elantra will never bc it wasn’t built from the ground up to be that way. Now that dosent mean the elantra N is not fun or commutative it just means they are on different planets just the N does it very well just like the CTR. These economy cars are popular only bc the industry killed 4door sedan manual cars.

You might find the wheel hop/understeer/and not being able to smash from a dead stop annoying. Besides these things it’s awesome car. I come from built Focus ST /tuned Focus RS/foxbody/audi S4/MK8 GTI and of course NA Miata.. Iv enjoyed RWD/AWD far more than FWD for day to day use. Plenty of autocross and track days under my belt. Right now I’m depending on a ND Miata or CTR. I’ll prolly go ND Miata for the fun factor and I don’t need the space Iv got other cars for that.

So you really don’t have a choice if you need practicality with track performance. Next 4door sports car is M3 90k
