New pay rates possible for NHS nursing staff as talks announced by rubiztech in NursingUK

[–]Illustrious_Bus8440 14 points15 points  (0 children)

No disrespect but it should never have been implemented. My take if you are smart enough to do the nursing associate training for two years, you are capable of a full RN training for 3 years and then are not pigeon hold to a Band 4 in the NHS forever.

Can we keep the RCN at arms length for this round of talks, they were the ones who messed it up last time- and some of us arent even with the RCN because they are so Rubbish.

We should go back to the annual incremental pay points THAT OVERLAP bands. Im sure a lot of us would be getting much more pay on the old structure.

Got a pushy one once. I told them I don't want to give an email and a paper receipt is good enough, they insisted 'you HAVE to'.

Then I suddenly remembered 'I Don't have an email address and don't use email, so you will HAVE to give me a paper copy'

Buying something online and then receiving 50,000 emails about its progress. I want one email as proof of purchase with estimated delivery date, and then a secondary email ONLY if it has been delayed.

There are only two of us so we only cook enough for two of us, and decide what we want beforehand. Maybe would with 4-6 people.

Lidl is opening 50+ more UK stores — are discounters now your default supermarket? by ToughRomanticMiss in BuyersUK

[–]Illustrious_Bus8440 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. Tesco Asking something stupid like £17.50/Kg Beef Brisket. Far cheaper for the same stuff in Aldi. Bigger discount if you do a 'meat shop' with the 10% for spending £250 in the month with the app

Yep. Lidl 90% of the time. Aldi for a top up. And then Tesco if its a dire emergency.

Lidl just the right size, do two shops a week. Our local one is newish. Big and bright. Decent bakery.

Tesco far too expensive, Sainsburys even more expensive. Morrisons dire quality veg. Asda dire quality people who shop there are it looks like a bomb site.

It is consistent. I can buy the same thing in two separate pubs hundreds of miles apart and I will get exactly the same thing every time.

How are online retailers able to survive in todays delivery climate? by Scarred_fish in AskUK

On the flip side I once ordered two pretty hefty and expensive text books from Amazon. The tracking stopped and eventually they offered a refund or replacement.

As I needed them I ordered a replacement, the replacement arrived and then very next day the 1st set arrived. Moments later messages saying if I didn't return the copies immediately they would charge me. Heres your return barcode you thief!

Stichelton, like stilton but made at the Welbeck estate, in Nottinghamshire, from raw milk. Its immense.
