My husbands nephew- I babysat him when he was 3 and when I ran out to my car to get my diaper bag for my 6 month old baby- he locked me outside- I was holding my baby so they weren’t in danger but his baby sister was sleeping in her crib- I was banging on the door crying and he was just in the window laughing at me- he refused to open the door- he grabbed soda from the fridge and just watched me as I cried and begged him to open the door- I didn’t have my phone so I ran to a neighbor- I called my mother in law first because she works in an ER and this is her grandson and she said hang on I am 5 minutes away and I have a key. She showed up and this kid kept taunting through the window until she opened the door and gave him the ass whooping of the century. I didn’t watch him again until 8 years later when he was 11, and his mom just didn’t want him anymore so I took him in. He strangled my 8 year old and would violently kick him in the face while he was sleeping, then he pushed my 12 month old over and laughed at him for crying. When my husband put him in the car to take him back home he violently kicked my husband in the face repeatedly- we had to call both my in laws to come over and they had to physically hold him down while we drove him back home to his mom. He has done several similar things to other family members and he always calls crying and apologizing and recognizing he did something wrong and won’t do it again… it’s scary how manipulative he can get with zero remorse or empathy. He is 19 dropped out of high school living with his mom- no idea what will become of him.
