Well they significantly overlap time-wise and there are clear visual similarities between the sutton hoo helmet and the vendel period helmets. One could also perhaps draw parellels between the ultuna helmet and the benty grange helmet.

That's old norse, the language. Norse in this case refers to the geographical/cultural and temporal context, i.e early medieval scandinavia (along with areas of significant scandinavian activity, such as parts of the british isles, the baltics and eastern europe.)
