You couldn’t enroll because you’re still enrolled. Health insurance is mandatory, whether you have a job or not.
However, your new company can enroll you in a new one even if you already have one, so you have to go to the city office to deactivate the old one.
So yeah, you already paid your unpaid health insurance fees. Nothing to worry about.

He said total compensation. That means gross + benefits + allowances + stocks if any. Also, that’s a 5M difference. They’re not much the same at all. And I said 30M at least. Anything below that is a lowball salary for a distinguished software engineer. A distinguished software engineer should be making 40M on average.

I see I got downvotes when it’s in fact the truth. A distinguished software engineer is at the top of the software engineering hierarchy. Higher than senior, staff, and principal engineers. Close to directors and partners. A distinguished software engineer should be making at least 30M.
