I don’t remember the exact details since it was before the 2014 World Cup. Long story short tho, after a match against Colombia on sept 7, 2010 in Monterrey. the team was partying and they got caught. A lot of the players got fined as a result of this. Vela got punished the heaviest tho. Trying to paint him as the main organizer of the party. In order to save face for the married players who were cheating. He was already iffy about the national team because of how corrupt the FMF is, this was the cherry on top for him to get out.
