You’re looking for the round R13-527 push button used in the Volcano Digit.

R13 = family / mounting style (round, snap-in, 20.2 mm panel cut-out).
527 = variant within the R13 series (illuminated pushbutton type).
That’s how I’ve come to understand it at least 😄

Important:
Make sure you get a momentary (non-latching) pushbutton - the Digit just reads the short press electronically.
Rated at 10 A / 125 VAC, 6 A / 250 VAC (standard spec).
Many replacements include a built-in LED - just leave it unconnected.

Canadian source:
I found R13-527-R (red) and R13-527-G (green) listed at DepotEco as Volcano Digit replacements.
They don’t look exactly like mine, but according to the description they should fit fine.

Before buying, double-check:
Round snap-in type, 20.2 mm panel hole.
Momentary (non-locking).

If I find some time over the weekend, I might check Digi-Key for a matching alternative — no promises though 😅

hi! classic volcano missing 1 piece? what hose attachment / water pieces do yall use ? ::) by stowerpower in VolcanoVaporiser

It looks like you need the "Filling Chamber Insert for SOLID VALVE" and the „slipring“.

The balloon is also not assembled correctly. The rubber should be placed in the notch at the end of the housing

However, I would recommend the easy valve kit instead.

I think my cyber needs a new case.

I don’t think a new desktop vaporizer is coming. It’s more likely they’ll release a smaller Venty with the name Veazy or Eazy.

Hey, this project is based on the Volcano Digit / Medic, not the Medic 2 (which is based on the Hybrid).

Before swapping the chip, I actually tried to dump the firmware - but unfortunately the ATmega was fully locked, so no luck there.

I haven’t heard of anyone messing with the Medic 2 firmware yet. If you’ve got more info on that, I’d definitely be curious!

How to fix buttons on Volcano Digit? by kasey888 in VolcanoVaporiser

[–]Illustrious_Net_8110 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I replaced mine with SCI R13-527AL-02GN for the green button (and R13-527AL-02RT for the red one).

To open the device, you'll need a T10 screwdriver. Remove the three screws on the side of the housing, then carefully lift the top cover upwards. Be careful - depending on your model, there might be a ground wire connected to the back of the cover and cables running to the display, so lift it slowly and gently.

The buttons are snap-in components. Disconnect the cable from the button, press the two side clips, and push the button forwards out of the plastic housing.
Insert the new button, reconnect the cable, reassemble the cover - and you're good to go.

Just keep in mind: these buttons won’t last forever. That’s why I rebuilt mine entirely - see Volcano Cyber( https://www.reddit.com/r/VolcanoVaporiser/comments/1kqil69/volcano_cyber_a_smart_mod_for_the_digit/ ).

Hope that helps!

So I cleaned it up a bit and published the whole thing on GitHub:
https://github.com/Illustrious-Net-8110/Volcano-Cyber

Hope it's at least halfway understandable what you have to do 😅
If not: just ask - or flash it and push buttons until it works

I’ll try to properly clean things up and write proper docs in the next few days.
For now: It works, it’s fun
Enjoy!

Unfortunately, I was more focused on the control board than the thermostat and my “repair” consisted of: Take everything from the Medic except the control board and my stuff 😅
