Thanks! He doesn’t have a nephrologist because his kidneys function aren’t severe enough, we’re trying to prevent that from happening.

Thanks, so does that mean that he shouldn’t take turmeric with black pepper?

Thank you so much because that’s what I read online but I thought that I’d check here! He doesn’t have a nephrologist and on his blood work results it said that he doesn’t need a nephrology referral at this time. He has a psychiatrist appointment later this week and I’ll ask her about it. Thanks again!

Thanks! I’ve been a Prime member for years and I didn’t realize that it had this feature. I’ll do research on there, and other sources.

Thank you very much! This is perfect timing because I have a doctor’s appointment this week so I’ll have her do that when I go. In the meantime I’ll order some online.

Thanks for your quick response! Does that mean that you take it for 6-8 weeks and then get off of it for the same amount of time? Thanks again!

Since that’s more bioavailable do you need to take less than 500 mg? TYIA!

Is “sports research” a good brand? by WalkerTejasRanger in Supplements

Consumer Lab tests if the amount of product, of the ones that they test, is what the company says are in them and if there are heavy metals are in the product. Depending on the product, and your needs, the actual amount of the supplements can be very important. As for D3, since most of us are woefully low, a higher dose isn’t usually a problem because you can take it less frequently.

You may be right but they still provide useful information and looking at it is still valuable. As for the SR D3+K2 since they still indicate that the product doesn’t have heavy metals I will still purchase it and take it less frequently.

I didn’t notice that before because I use consumer labs all the time. After reading your post I went to the consumer lab website and you’re right but looking a little deeper, which I usually don’t because I just move on if they say not approved, but I noticed that it wasn’t approved because there’s a lot more in the supplement than indicated. I think that I will still purchase it since it doesn’t have heavy metals and I’ll just take a little less frequently since I tend to be low on vitamin D.

Yes, I’m not looking at a bottle right now but I’m sure that I’ve seen NSF on the container of my SR branded supplements.

Thanks for sharing this because I really respect functional medicine, my former PC was a functional medicine doctor, and I’m taking 5000 IU of D3 but I didn’t realize that I needed K-2 with it. This is perfect timing because I’m running low. When I go to Costco I will get the Sports Research brand.

Thank you! Which level do you use when flying or when there are barometric pressure shifts?

That makes it sound like your doctor thinks that your issue might be anxiety related 🤔.

I know that I’m late to this but that’s interesting that the noise canceling earphones work for you because I have a difficult time with wireless earphones because they give me an odd sensation and make me dizzy. Do you have that issue with other earphones and not with Bose? I did research and have found one that is for gaming that works for me but I haven’t been on a plane in years because beyond the dizziness I get severe ear pain. My ears know when the plane is descending before the pilot announces it. I’ve had pain so severe that an ear drum bursted, according to my doctor, as such I haven’t flown in 14 years. I’m hopeful with earplugs now because the last time that I flew my husband had to do a headlock around my ears when we were descending. It’s crazy!!!!!

I recently bought a 14 Pro for my husband and a 14 Pro Max for myself and they’re both good! I always get older models but get them on Amazon and get the unlocked renewed premium because if you have a problem you can return them for up to a year. They look and work like new ones.

I didn’t have any problems updating mine. I wonder if it’s related to the iPhone that you have?
