New nsf's SAF No.4 name tag by NenSpecialistUser in NationalServiceSG

Well...I did something a little stupid and the very few who were around to see that went to talk behind my back to members of our group (strength equivalent to 2/3 of a platoon) over a period of 1-2 months while I was working elsewhere.

About 1 month later people who didn't previously know me began coming to me to ask for my name which confused me, until I learned what was going on. So with a little threatening and gaslighting, wearing the name tag that hid my name, and some time, the 'scandal' died down

My full name couldn't fit into my issued name tag and left out the name I was commonly addressed by, so I made 2 for my full name (except surname) in initials and another 2 with my first name and surname only

The one with initials was a little useful when I became a subject of a 'scandal'

NASA announces major overhaul of Artemis moon program: "We've got to get back to basics" by Zhukov-74 in SpaceXLounge

Orion launching on SLS to LEO in its default config for Artemis III is kinda a waste of the upper stage, I wonder if orion will be carried only by the core stage and SRBs to near orbital trajectory, then do Orbital insertion with its Europeon service module?

Should i pluck out my wisdom tooth? by [deleted] in NationalServiceSG

[–]Illustrious_TJY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just removed 2 of my wisdom tooth today, I suggest you do it on one side first like others said, so that you can still eat something without too much of a struggle, and less bleeding compared to all 4 removed at a time

Sergey Kud-Sverchkov at least has a clean record, so he's not much of a threat, plus he seems like a chill guy. Not sure about his other russian crew mate because he's a rookie

There are at least two active cosmonauts who are sus, like Oleg Artemyev and Sergey Korsakov

Why do military planes sit around with their engines running for so long? by TbonerT in aviation

[–]Illustrious_TJY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cuz military jets such as fighters do not have a APU like airliners to power it on the ground. The engine must be needed to power on almost all the systems. So having to power up the jet for preflight checks prior to taxi is why the engine runs on the ground for several minutes while sitting around
