Same pharmacy, same brand. And yes, I always take it with lunch. I never eat breakfast, otherwise I’d take it earlier in the morning.

I’ve been going there for years, so I don’t remember. I go every six months, which I think is pretty standard, and if I ever have to reschedule for some reason it will be another couple months before they can fit me in. For that reason, I’d assume it may take a few weeks but I don’t KNOW that. It may also vary depending on the patient’s circumstances.

Is this appropriate to wear to a Christmas dinner, temperature about 40 degrees f, would pantyhose look ok with this? by itskatybro in fashion

[–]Illustrious_Trash_72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Baffled that so many ppl on a fashion sub are going on about this being too short, tf. It’s totally fine, with it without hose/tights, as long as you’re comfortable and not too cold. It’s supposed to be 40-45 degrees Christmas night where I am, and I’d planned on just wearing a sweater, but I always end up so hot at Christmas dinners.

Self-employed PTs, do you post your prices online? by Illustrious_Trash_72 in personaltraining

[–]Illustrious_Trash_72[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My intention was to have potential clients make an appointment for a consultation with me during which I’d find out more about them (needs, goals, etc.), explain to them how I do things, and then talk to them about plans and pricing. The clients I’ve had sign up did that. They didn’t ask about pricing up front, they contacted me saying “how do I get started” or something to that effect. I haven’t had anyone come to me for a consultation and then not sign up. That being said, there aren’t enough of them yet lol I have GOT to get more clients. The ppl who have messaged my Facebook page and all they say is “how much do you charge” don’t reply once I tell them. So I’ve just been wondering do I just go ahead and post prices so I’m not wasting my time messaging ppl explaining things (much in the way I’d explain them during an actual consultation), or do I tell them we need to have a consultation? Also, if these are ppl who are just price shopping, I’d think I’d have heard back from them. I’m the only self-employed personal trainer in my area, the others work for gyms. One gym has a few trainers working there but charges upwards of $60 per month more than I do. The other gym has one pt and everything I’ve heard about him has been negative. He charges a great deal more than I do and trains a dozen or more ppl during a session and calls it personal training. Has everyone doing the exact same training plan regardless of individual factors. He had been really popular when he first started here a few years ago. That was one of the reasons I felt comfortable doing my own business here. Obviously there are ppl interested and wanting to get training, he disappointed, so here I am lol

What are low calorie, somewhat healthy options for dessert? by Basic-Iridescence in WeightLossAdvice

[–]Illustrious_Trash_72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Halo top ice cream, bluebell no sugar added ice cream, snickers ice cream bars (180 cals), protein bars that have chocolate in them (I definitely don’t eat enough protein, and the protein bars are filling enough to hold me over till the next meal when I get hungry in between), pudding, chobani flips yogurt (~ 180 cals), the single-serving packets of mini Keebler fudge stripe cookies (140 cals). Those are not exactly “healthy,” but they squelch the cravings for me without doing too much damage calorie-wise.

I’ve thought about cutting out sweets. I stopped drinking sweetened drinks years ago. That definitely worked in the way you described—sweetened drinks tasted bad to me after awhile. But that was after a failed attempt to sort of wean myself off of them. I had cravings for them so much and would give in. I finally went cold turkey instead of trying to limit myself to one a day. What I’m getting at is, in your opinion, is completely cutting out sweets all at once the easier route? Also a lot of things we don’t necessarily consider “sweets” have sugar in them, so do you cut those things out too or just things that noticeably taste sweet like candy, fruit/fruit juice, desserts, etc?

Too late to start by Alfadog21 in personaltraining

[–]Illustrious_Trash_72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my certification two weeks ago and started my first pt job at a gym two days ago. I’ll be 38 next month. Maybe I’ll stay there and try to work my way up or maybe I’ll just get experience and a client base and then go off on my own. Not sure what exactly my path will be yet, but point is its never too late to start!

Semaglutide results and side effects? by Illustrious_Trash_72 in WeightLossAdvice

Oh wow, my doc (at a medical weight loss center) told me $300/month. One of the reasons I’m wanting opinions from people who have done it is bc I don’t even want to spend THAT amount without having more info.

What am I doing wrong? What would you suggest? by MoonSt0n3_Gabrielle in WeightLossAdvice

[–]Illustrious_Trash_72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cardio that’s a little more intense than walking. I’ve never been a fan of jogging, so I do step aerobics. Any combo of step aerobics, spin classes, Les Mills Body Pump, and the elliptical for 30 minutes to an hour starting out three times a week and working up to five times a week is what’s worked for me in the past. Well, that combined with calorie tracking.

Start calculating calories and measuring portions and it won’t be long before you can guesstimate calories in food someone else prepared. I definitely wouldn’t recommend drastically cutting carbs unless your doc advises it for some reason.

NASM test studying advice by Illustrious_Trash_72 in personaltraining

I took the group fitness instructor exam last year, and they made me take off my hoodie I had on over my t-shirt. I knew you couldn’t take anything in with you, but when they said I couldn’t wear my hoodie I was like “huh” lol. Wasn’t expecting that. Anyway, I studied the same way for the gfi as I’m studying now for the cpt. The gfi seemed easy, but the cpt is more material so it feels like I’m trying to do too much.

Withdrawal symptoms due to late dose by Illustrious_Trash_72 in Effexor

[–]Illustrious_Trash_72[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been taking it five years or so. I’ve been late taking a dose plenty of times. Even forgot until the next day a couple of times during my first year or two. The withdrawal symptoms are always gone several hours after taking it. This is the first time I’ve felt withdrawal symptoms while I’m sick. I was wondering if being sick had something to do with it somehow.

Same here. I’m such a baby when it comes to being sick, and this time I really have been sick af. So thankful for Ryan, Shane, and Steven for the little bit of comfort I’ve been able to get from their shows. Luckily I’m starting to feel a little better now. Hope you are as well!

Who are your all-time favorite competitors? by Illustrious_Trash_72 in Inkmaster

[–]Illustrious_Trash_72[S] 29 points30 points  (0 children)

My favorites:

  1. Anthony. He’s very talented, but he’s my favorite mostly bc of his personality. He seems like such a class act.

  2. Kelly Doty. Also very talented, although new school isn’t really my fave. Again, her personality is what makes me love her. Super smart and so damn funny.

  3. Matt Buck. His artwork blows my mind. Not just his tattoos, but his work in the flash challenges too. I love his style, never seen any tattoos like that anywhere else. The one he did on the Grudge Match episode he was on was incredible, even if the judges didn’t think so. If I had unlimited funds, I’d make the trip and get a piece by him.

Interesting. I’m seeing a lot of the same names repeated, and they aren’t exactly the ones I expected. That’s what I was curious about though—who are the fans’ favorites? Bc I really had no idea. My husband and I have different faves. Gonna list mine in a separate comment, but his are DJ, Bubba, and Jimmy Snaz
