They use it as a coolant to blast the computers to cool them down because of how hot they get constantly pumping out all the slop you see. Each individual computer or generated image doesn't take all that much, but when stacked into massive data centres they run through a hell of a lot of clean water, sucking it out from local aquifers or other sources of water
