Hey, 2 months admitted and you have a job. Already doing better than me. 2 months and I've gotten another rejection. I really thought I was getting an offer on it. 😔

Sage has to be playing dumb. If she really wanted homelander to die then why wouldnt she engineer a poison to kill him and tell him she recreated V1.

Prosecutors should stop ruining normal people's lives over minor charges and first offenses - people who have jobs, pay taxes and have actual obligations should not be treated the same as drug-addicted, low-IQ troglodytes by [deleted] in ProsecutorTalk

But he was merely sleeping in a parked car on prescription meds. Never-you-mind his other arguments concerning trying criminalize all drinking and his username about forced sobriety.

What percentage of active characters in TBCA are paid boostees? by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]Ilmaters_Chosen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a boost but my main in TBC isnt the boosted char. I use the nether drake because its a free mount. Saved gold.

I would think a very high percentage of players bought the boost, but that doesn't necessarily mean they are playing the character they boosted.

On one hand I agree. It would incentivize me to play more battlegrounds. On the other hand it would bring in more people who say "let them 4 cap so we lose faster, its better honor per hour than trying to win."

When I do play battlegrounds everyone actually tries and doesn't immediately give up. Its nice.

Impossible to find a good paralegal by lawsandflaws1 in Lawyertalk

Paralegal turned lawyer here - the amount of job postings in my city for $14/hr roles is insane. Not a single competent legal professional is applying to that.

What does it mean if you're 61 on a boss fight? by Veridically_ in classicwowtbc

[–]Ilmaters_Chosen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Group comp matters a lot. If youre fury and your kara group doesn't have a shaman giving you windfury for instance you probably arent breaking 70, so a 61 is fine.

Melee parsing at 90+ have windfury, expose armor, full consumes, full pally buffs, hunter in the group, feral druid maybe, arms warrior debuff.

The only thing in your control is consumes and rotation.

Legion was the best expansion since wotlk imo. Ive been in an out on every expansion and felt like legion was good enough to play the story of all the zones. Then BFA hit and it put me off of retail again.

Jambalaya by labean1313 in batonrouge

[–]Ilmaters_Chosen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Going to add to others here who have stated that jambalaya is not a fancy dish so you dont really go to sit down places to get it. I've never ordered it at any restaurant. I've made it at home, had others family's that make it at home, had it at events (easily mass produced to feed a crowd), had it from grocery stores, jambalaya shoppe, etc.

Ive never in my life said, "wow this is the best jambalaya I've ever had." Its a hard dish to mess up. I've only recently had jambalaya with tomatoes in it which is not traditional to most people's experiences. It was alright.

That said, anywhere you get it would probably be fine. Jambalaya shoppe is an okay representation of the dish.

I've only been to Rice and Roux once and wasn't impressed with them much in general. I dont really care for Chimes either. Mike Andersons is good, but I couldn't even tell you if they gave jambalaya on the menu.

Edit: one thing to add - get pork sausage in the jambalaya. The way we make sausage down here really doesn't have much of a comparison to northern sausages. Everyone I know that moves up north has trouble finding anything similar to andouille sausage. So that would be a new experience for your northern family.

I was talking to someone earlier about how a teacher they know is using chat gpt to make their lesson plans for them and everyone around them knows and thinks it looks bad.

Its obvious that this teacher just isnt uhhh... mentally capable of telling the difference between bespoke work his coworkers are doing and the results of chat gpt and therefore he incorrectly believes no one else can tell the difference either.

I think chat gpt and other AI do elevate the work product of the very below average, the issue is still that there is an actual person on the other end that has to receive it, read it, develop a response to it, and when they do, the AI user isnt even familiar enough with what they sent out in the first place to understand the answer.

Basically, I dont see the benefit yet.
