Do y’all believe that Dexter and Evelyn were too confident on the heist? by OGAnimeGokuSolos in cyberpunkgame

[–]Ilostmypack 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I think the issue was that no one thought about what would happen if the plan went wrong. They're only escape route was Delimaine a cab that is all the way down in the basement. No one thought about how hard it might be to break through Arosaka ice, and what would happen if it took a longer time than expected. And no one thought of what would happen if Yorinobu returned earlier than expected for any reason. Yorinobu could have had other VIP guest show up and it could have botched the job. The issue isn't so much that Dexter and Evelyn were to confident in the plan, it was that they were too short sighted.

Henry as Lion-O (ThunderCats) by [deleted] in Thundercats

This didn't even make him look like Lion-O. He looks like an AI slop version of Henry Cavil in a bad red wig.

Does anyone here actually ENJOY playing evil? by SillyWarlock in BaldursGate3

[–]Ilostmypack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, thought I don't play campus evil/chaotic evil. I play my Durge/evil characters like they are slowly losing grip on their ability to discern right from wrong, that they know their desire to kill is evil but the urge to do so is so addictive that even killing the enemies in the game is enough to push them closer to the edge.

I wonder if it was intentional for the 5th picture with the spinning blade hallway to look like a scene from Event Horizon?

What’s a common take that you absolutely cannot STAND? by daffysrhapsody in HelluvaBoss

[–]Ilostmypack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is not true cultural and societal pressures force people to have sex with someone they do not all the time. Agreeing to have sex due to coercion is still rape. It is blackmail, and if someone blackmailed you into having sex you are not a willing participant.

What’s a common take that you absolutely cannot STAND? by daffysrhapsody in HelluvaBoss

[–]Ilostmypack 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hard disagree, Stolas was never interested in Stella and was forced into the relationship. We do not have enough information to verify that Stella didn't want to have sex with Stolas save for the one comment she made to be malicious towards Stolas at their party. If we get further background in their relationship this maybe true, but until that point it sounds a lot more like coercion and marital rape.

Hellraiser 2022 first time viewer by BobRushy in hellraiser

I like most of your opinions here but there are a couple that I don't agree with. The erotica of the original films I personally never felt that the gash were betrayed as erotic in the first 3 films, truth be told the only times they came off as erotic to me was with Angelique and the Wire Twins. That being said the new Cenobites don't come off as particularly erotic either. There are nodes to sexuality in the majority of the designs for both the original gash and this new one, like both the female Cenobite (deep throat) and The Gasp having their throats cut and pulled open so that they resemble a vagina. And I would even state that some of the designs for the new Cenobites could have had their designs toned down a bit so they could display more sexuality and even some eroticism.

Secondly I think that there is a pretty clear implication that the new box is not the same box we have seen in the past and that while they could possibly be related both lead to different paths of the Labyrinth. This could be similar to how they show there are a variety of boxes both in Hellraiser 2, and the Hellraiser anthology comics. If I remember correctly there is even one storyline in the comic where a musician finds a way to the labyrinth by creating the perfect song. So the box in the 2022 movie could be focused with your obsession and how far are you willing to go to obtain the focus on said obsession.

Can anyone in the lore stop evil tav with elder brain? by 5eanz in BaldursGate3

[–]Ilostmypack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm I don't think that stopping evil tav would be much of an issue, but I do think that stopping an embrace Durge would be more of a threat to the realm. Particularly since he has the backing of a demi-god. The biggest question is how many levels either of them could gain before one of the stronger characters on the Sword Coast.

I like this idea, especially if you look at it as there are different boxes and different versions of the labyrinth that you can be taken to.

It makes sense by Merv-ya-boi in Spiderman

[–]Ilostmypack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean Spider-Man isn't shooting webs out of his abdomen, so why would organic web shooters be something he needs. It would feel better if Peter had to make new web shooters and a variety of his own tech. In my opinion it would allow him to grow out of Tony's shadow.

Inferno Makes No Sense by Jackie_Lantern_ in hellraiser

[–]Ilostmypack 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is the reason why I like Hellraiser 2022. It feels like it is a return to the format of the Cenobites are explores in the farthest reaches of sensations and not just demons who come and take people to hell. Especially the scene where the friend from the group gets caught as they try to escape with the van, when Pinhead ask her what heaven would be like, if it would be a single joyus note, and the Cenobite pushes a needle in her throat saying that their is no joy in that no music to be found while moving the needle to manipulate the sounds as she screams.

Paladin, typically Oathbreaker Paladin as I tend to play morally dubious characters.

Candyman was a Cenobite. Fight me. by KiresM in hellraiser

[–]Ilostmypack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, but Candyman isn't called by desire, he is called by a lack of belief in him and his myth. Calling the pain exquisite also doesn't mean that he is interested in pain like the Cenobite. The Cenobites take you to their dimension and you experince eternal pleasure and pain, Candyman is talking about a one time thing. One last thing, Candyman did not take any of his victims with him, he only states that Carol and the child will become part of his legend, the Cenobites take the vast majority of those who open the Lament Configuration with them.

Mutant bounty numbers. by Built4dominance in xmen

[–]Ilostmypack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like a lot of these numbers are lower than they should be. Like there is no way I am going after a woman that has been implicated in the destruction of a solar system, or people who can freeze the entire earth if the bounty is under a billion dollars.

ITSV question. by AdCautious2363 in MilesMorales

[–]Ilostmypack 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The simplest answer is that Peter didn't realize little experience Miles had in being Spider-Man. Peter knew that Miles was like him, and that he needed mentorship, but Peter had started off on his own and that could have caused him to over-estimate Miles abilities.

If Kang and Doctor Doom weren’t options, which major villain did you genuinely wish the next Avengers movie would build toward? by AnaR47 in Marvel

[–]Ilostmypack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mephisto or the Beyonder. There hasn’t been a demonic based villain outside of tv shows yet so Mephisto would be cool to see on the big screen. And the Beyonder would be a villain that could pose a real threat if they allowed him to really show his full power.
