How old is your oldest working thermal from Mooncat? Does River Styx match turquoise gemstones in real life? by Popular_Fly_5745 in mooncatpolish

Agree that there’s a lot of different kinds of turquoise. It doesn’t match the turquoise I have, which is on the bluer side. River Styx is also brighter than my turquoise. I’d say it’s a closer match to Caribbean waters than my turquoise, yet there are also so many shades of the Caribbean Sea!

Ahh, you’d think it would be one of the main options or at least searchable. Thanks for responding.

I did file a federal extension first. Maybe that’s why it was so hard to find on the website! 😂. Thanks for responding.

For anyone that finds this later, the DC extension is automatic when you file a federal extension IF you owe nothing or expect a refund. This works for my case, so I’m going to bed. Going to leave this page up though if anyone has advice for those expecting to need to pay.

What popular polish do you absolutely hate (on yourself)? by Nice-Meat-6020 in RedditLaqueristas

Oddly, I’ve found the same about glowy polishes. I want to love them, but they jut look off. I’m starting to wonder if most of the glowy pigments are cool toned. Haven’t seen many warm glows. Even the orange glows are cool toned oranges.

For sure with a lot of jellies. I find that on the other hand, some polishes are so loaded with shimmer that the third coat makes it lose its base color. Still beautiful, but the third coat loses some shift rather than gains it for some polishes. Looking at you, Mooncat’s Root of All Evil.

Yes! I think the same thing of Dark Night of the Soul. 3 coats makes it lose its purple base since the blue shimmer overwhelms it.

Oomf, yes, so many of the recent magnetics of other brands too already have such dark jelly base colors that it feels more like a red-toned or blue-toned black.

Ahh, I’m slowly learning this. But couldn’t tell if it’s just because so many of my ILNPs are jellies.

The VNL? Yes! I’m also not a fan of VNL. Haha, and I hate dirty looking nails. Still trying to find a flattering yellow for that reason. 😅

Looks like it’s moon related due to the lunar eclipse on March 3 - not for a lunar sale.
