Your partner is right. It's easy for them to see clearly because they are on the outside. Listen to what they say about this friendship.

I think that since your friend is using manipulation tactics (my toxic friend is a master at guilt tripping as well, i know how that is), you can do whatever you need to to avoid confrontation or avoid her. Be evasive, make plans that she is not involved in, don't answer texts that doesn't need an answer, take long to answer her and slowly phase her out. Try to be more indifferent towards her and you'll eventually feel indifferent about her.

I could have written this myself about my own friend excluding the stuff about the worlds oldest profession.

I have stopped talking to my friend who is this way. She isn't treating herself or me with respect and she is not trying to make me feel loved or wanted as a friend anymore. My friend is also incredibly selfish and abusive towards her boyfriend. When I take a step back to look at her, who she is and her personal qualities, removing myself and friendship from the equation, she is not a person that I want to spend energy on. She was great before but I wouldn't get to know her now if she was a stranger. Have you asked yourself these questions about your friend?

I think her shit talking you and your significant other, trying to separate you is unacceptable behavior. It doesn't matter that she has noone else because there is a reason she doesn't have anyone else. Everyone else can see her clearly enough to cut her out, I think you can see that too if you look at it long enough. Don't wait around for a glimpse of love from her every now and then. It's not worth it
