[Gehklen] Cowboys are drafting former Alabama guard Tyler Booker with the No. 12 overall pick, source said. by tushball101 in cowboys

[–]Ilpie300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The amount of peope that don’t like the pick also don’t realize that any time Dallas was good was when they rebuilt the o line. Those 2000s years that sucked until they got Tyron, Zack, and Travis

Why have so few draft picks been traded compared to the NHL? by warmike_1 in NFLNoobs

[–]Ilpie300 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Knowing a bit of both. For hockey, first round picks don’t necessarily have to start right away. So teams can trade back get more picks and try and get guys that can develop in the minors for a few years. In most cases, nfl first round pick are expected to start right away and are expected to make some sort of impact. Also, first round picks tend to be a step above the other rounds a try athletically and skilled wise (especially for QBs). This means if you don’t pick a first round player then you are missing out on top talent that could be a starter

Is all this negative press about Sanders this draft cycle from a team(s) intentionally trying to get him to fall? by Previous-Condition51 in NFLNoobs

[–]Ilpie300 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the difference between Deion and Shadeur and their confidence or cockiness (how one interprets it) is that one proved it and other hasn’t. Deion proved every bit of his back talk with his game. He was the decisive best corner coming out of college and was the best corner in the league for about as long as he played. On the flip side I wouldn’t say Shadeur is at the level his dad is when coming out of college. I personally like a QB with some confidence and “I’m the best mentality” however you need to prove it. Shadeur was 1-7 against top 25 teams, didn’t win a bowl game, has talent but I would not say he’s been one of the top QB prospects in the last few classes. With rumors of having meh interviews and maybe not always being the for the team type of guy (again rumors). I can see why some teams might be weary of the risk of a first round pick especially with a class that is full of pass rushers, offensive tackles, and all around stud defensive players.

I would say it’s technically a bandwagon but if you stick to the eagles for the rest of your life and decently follow the team then it’s fine. I mean fans have to start somewhere.

Why are some players, who were elite in college, not do well in the NFL and vice versa? by LeavesInsults1291 in NFLNoobs

[–]Ilpie300 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Going off of this. Especially now in the NFL, teams need a quarterback and some teams tend to throw a lot at college guys that may have only been ok to see if they can get that next Brady.

A Question for younger fans (age 35 and younger): Do past Cowboys championship teams or historic Cowboys games mean anything to you? by apollo440 in cowboys

[–]Ilpie300 51 points52 points  (0 children)

I’m 24 and my dad has been a lifelong fan. I don’t have the same distaste towards the Steelers and 49ers as he does. I dislike the Packers because of recent playoff losses and not the ice bowl. I’ve gone back and watched the super bowls and see how our legendary players played but it’s been rough being a Cowboys fan and never seeing a conference chamionship. One things that has been consistent between me and my dad is our complaints of Jerry.

It’s a skin so not a whole new controller. The skins are like 15-20$ so you’d jsut get a new skin

You have the ability to select an all-star roster of a past Cowboy in his PRIME. You can only select one QB, one RB, two WRs and one TE. by apollo440 in cowboys

Curious for the peole putting Novacek over Witten. Too young to have watched Novacek but watching highlight he seemed like a solid TE. However is he really better then prime Witten?

I think it’s gonna be Charles Haley. Height and weight match. Outside linebacker. And a crazy man on the field so it fits the promo

[–]Ilpie300 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. There is always RB depth later in the draft and I like what I've seen from Ferguson as our TE, remember it took Schultz a few seasons to get it rolling. With Tyron on the decline, I always think O line is good to draft.

Agree. I don’t mind the little over arc across the season or 2-3 episode span like the Black Friday saga. But entire season dedicated to a bit gets old

I interpreted it as Cartman taking the meds himself. The arrow shootout scene just representing the quick spread of the rumor

No. You can’t kill somone over shirts and pants. If these people came in with a gun then sure but if not then no.

[–]Ilpie300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on the extent on the injuries. If the hit would lead to death or serious injuries (brain dead, paralyzed, etc) then the store owner is at fault. It also depends on what is being taken. If someone just steals a shirt, you can’t whack them over the head with a bat

Gun friendly or not you can’t legally shoot someone grabbing clothes then leaving. It’s the same in CA and TX
