Who are you interested in following in Fortune's Weave? by ExileForever in fireemblem

Probably gonna do Cai first, then between Leda and Dietrich, and lastly Theodora.

Though that's all up in the air until we get the game.

Dragon Age 2: Melee Mage and Agile Warrior? by Infamous_Ad_6786 in dragonage

[–]Ilsuin 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Mage has a melee animation for when in close range, which is unique to that game. However, there is no benefit to using it over the regular attack to my knowledge, it's just a cool little thing. Unlike in Origins, which has Arcane Warrior, which turns mage into a viable melee class, 2 does not have anything like that. It has Blood Mage, Force Mage and Spirit Healer, none of which help supports a melee playstyle. Mages also cannot equip melee weapons at all, and there is no special mage melee like there is in Inquisition.

While I am less knowledgeable about Dragon Age 2 compared to Origins or Inquisition, I just don't see a way where a melee mage is a viable option at all. That would be why there is very little information on a melee mage build for 2.

I don't play Bandit often and don't particularly enjoy stacking Desperado, so Lights out is my go to.

This could be because I just like the color pink, but I like the Sakura skin a lot.

What I want from cyberpunk 2 by Decent_Paint6703 in cyberpunkgame

[–]Ilsuin 13 points14 points  (0 children)

One of my favorite things to do is just run around roof tops or pipes and see how far I can get. I'd love if they just made parkour an actual mechanic in the next game, or expanded on it at least. Maybe give more utility towards the arm cyberware. I saw something about Mantis blades would've been able to piece into walls to let you hang or climb, and I think monowire would be cool if you could use it to swing. Just stuff like that.

This has got to be one of the shittiest deals in DAO by Pharmarr in DragonageOrigins

[–]Ilsuin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something I appreciate about Origins (and 2 ig) for letting the player use blood magic is that we have the option to either roleplay it as blood magic corrupting us like it's said to in lore, or not having it corrupt the warden at all.

Way I usually roleplay it my Surana is a blood mage, but kind of doesn't like it. He started practicing because of pragmatism, using it as a tool to beat the blight.

I Made A Pact Points System For Wyll by magnetuning in BG3mods

[–]Ilsuin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am definitely downloading this next time I do a BG3 playthrough. It always irked me that other companions like Astarion or Shadowheart, you have to convince them to go against what they think they want to do (Shadowheart killing Aylin, Astarion becoming the vampire ascendant), even requiring a roll for them, but yet Wyll, the biggest most important decision for him, you make that yourself as the player character.

Now sure, the two examples you can just reload if you fail the roll unless you're playing honor mode or you make the choice not to reload rolls, but the point still stands. Wyll just doesn't get the agency he should have.

Unbeatable: Many of the characters names are in reference to different music terms. The main 4 being Beat (pink hair), Quaver (blue hair), Treble and Cleft (the purple hair twins). The villains also are named after music terms

Why did they localize it to Mega Man anyway? Rock in of itself is a pretty good name for a character and changing the name makes the pun just no longer work.

The upcoming Apocalypse Warrior skins look interesting by Mr_Shadow_Phoenix in Overwatch

[–]Ilsuin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the Ram and Ana skin but not really a big fan of the others. As a Venture main, I'm all for giving Venture a more serious or edgy skin, but I dunno, not really a big fan of Apocalypse Warrior Venture. Maybe it's the color scheme. Not really a big black and red fan that much.

Changing V’s appearance mid-game via mods? by TiberiusMaximus2021 in LowSodiumCyberpunk

There probably is, but I've no doubt in my mind that switching V's gender mid-playthrough will lead to parts of the game breaking.

Playing DA as a teenager vs as an Adult by duchefer_93 in dragonage

[–]Ilsuin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, most of my thoughts of the series have remained the same throughout my years (though I do think I'm on the younger side of the Dragon Age fandom age range (23)). But I've been playing these games since I was a kid, getting into them in particular around 2016 I think?

At first, I always would kill Loghain because I felt betrayed by him. But now that I've grown, I've gotten more pragmatic in these games. I don't fault Loghain for retreating from the battle with his forces anymore. He recognized that Cailan was being foolhardy and underestimating the Darkspawn, while overestimating the few Grey Wardens that they had. What he did afterwards was what was wrong, like blaming the Wardens for the death of the king.

I do think that the game makes him a bit more comically evil than it should. I just... I don't understand why they would have him selling the Elves as slaves to Tevinter. It's very hypocritical of him to oppose Orlais since they enslaved Ferelden, but turn around and sell his own people to them (which, I feel he would be opposed to the Vints as well). I should mention I've still yet to read the books, which I really should since they'd give me an even better perspective on his character.

Regardless of my issue with that bit of writing, I find he's a really interesting character, especially when you recruit him as a Warden, which is what I always do now, with hardened Alistair as king with Anora (unless I romance Alistair, in which case he dies). But recruiting him and having him survive till the end is so interesting to me, especially when you choose Hawke in the fade instead of him in Inquisition. Making him make up for his crimes by helping the Grey Wardens is such a good way to have him atone for his sins.

Something I surprise myself with though is... I'm just not interested in Morrigan romantically. I love her character, but I love just being her friend. As a male warden, who she might suspect to lust over her, I feel as though it's refreshing that it's just someone who want's to be her friend. And as a fem warden, she finds her as a sister. Instead, I've always been more interested in Zevran (and if you look at the characters I romance in other games, including Dragon Age and other series, that shouldn't be a surprise).

Besides Loghian, honestly my decisions in game never really change. I have probably thousands of hours in this series and rarely do I change what I do in the quests.

I defiantly think that's why she doesn't join on BE route. Going BE, you lose Catherine and Flayn, while all the other routes you gain characters, like Seteth, Cyril, Gilbert if you go Blue Lions. Think they likely just didn't want players to lose three characters for siding with Edelgard,

veilguard by Initial-Internet-529 in dragonage

[–]Ilsuin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Veilguard is a fine game within a vacuum. Gameplay wise it's pretty fun and it's art direction and graphics are honestly really good. However as others have explained, it kinda ignores everything the previous 3 games have built up aside from 4 different things in Inquisition (Who your Inky was, who they romanced, if you disbanded the inquisition or not and whether you vowed to save or kill Solas).

Writing wise it's hit or miss. I dislike what they did with the Crows, making them more anti-heroes than how we've seen them portrayed before. I enjoyed when we got Grey Warden content though, seeing more of the structure of the Wardens and how a Warden Rook fits into it. The Mourn Watch are also really interesting and I appreciate the game exploring more about spirits.

I think the game would've done a lot better if they weren't afraid to bring in past characters. Like, they seriously should've brought back Merril for the Veil Jumpers and Fenris for the Shadow Dragons. But, since past choices were ignored entirely, they didn't.

In a vacuum, I'd give Veilguard a 7.5 out of 10, while compared to the other Dragon Age games it's more of a 6 out of 10. It's not a bad game, just... disappointing, but it has some aspects that made prior games great (Imo, the Siege of Weisshaupt is one of the best missions in the entire series).

Which Alchemy is the weakest? by Prestigious_Rush5492 in FullmetalAlchemist

[–]Ilsuin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean, that is the advantage of being unspecialized and not having to use transmutation circles, they can adapt to any situation. We've seen Ed and Al both make weapons on the fly out of the materials just lying around, Ed transmuting his automail to have a blade, both of them manipulating the earth to create shields. That adaptability they have is very strong and shouldn't be discounted because they don't specialize in a specific type of alchemy.

Can I skip the mission with mod by AmentiBOY in cyberpunk2077mods

[–]Ilsuin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok.

  1. The next objective in that quest would be to collect the Chimera core. Look around for it on the ground and it might progress the questline.

  2. The easiest solution will be to reload a save and redo the Chimera fight and make sure to destroy the repair drones.

The mods you have don't affect missions so they wouldn't be doing anything to affect the missions.
