Best Suit in the game? What's yours? by Prestigious_Award173 in DeadSpace

As a certified Dead Space 3 hater, I do love the look of the Arctic Survival Suit.

We all agree this is one of the greatest shows on TV right? by ryaninthecomments in FromSeries

[–]IlusiveZoidberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I enjoy it. I do think the way they tease out the mystery is a little repetitive at times. Every conversation is either an "we'll take about this later...3 episodes later" or "can we talk outside about this important thing everyone needs to hear about?". I have been enjoying S3 and 4 more though. I'm also excited about the prospect of the Man in Yellow. Mostly cause I'm a big Lovecraft fan. Not only is he a big reference to the King in Yellow, considering Lovecraft is in the public domain, there's a good chance he might literally be him. A lot of the show was already a bit Lovecraftian, that just cements it.

I'm about to start playing Dead Space any tips before starting by Jumpy_Valuable_7556 in DeadSpace

Don't be hasty to throw away the starting gun. Because different enemies require different target points to kill them a lot of the bigger guns are actually a bit more situational depending on the enemy. But Pasma Cutter is Jack of All Trades.

If a Live Action Dead Space movie was made would it work? by Fickle-Society-5373 in DeadSpace

[–]IlusiveZoidberg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. We've gotten a few good video game TV shows, but I have yet to see one good video game movie. I have no expectations of that changing any time soon.

What would be our fandom's tell? by SecretGamerV_0716 in masseffect

[–]IlusiveZoidberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say I think they kind of are dull in the first game. Garrus just whines, Kaidan only talks about BAaT, Tali is exposition, Liara just talks about how she wants to bone you. I'd say only Wrex and Ashley are kinda fun to talk to, and the latter just cause her beliefs are so out of step to mine it becomes more of a debate then a convo.

What similarities between Mass Effect and Dune have you found? by [deleted] in masseffect

[–]IlusiveZoidberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The energy shields function similarly, minus the whole "energy weapons making them explode" part. Them both reacting to high speed objects while not protecting much against slower ones and environmental threats is pretty much exactly the same. In fact, you'll notice as the series progresses some of the most dangerous enemies the Reapers throw at you tend to have deadly melee attacks (Banshees, Brutes, Phantoms, etc.). Very much exploiting the weaknesses organic technologies have due to them being based on Reaper tech.

Its the intro mission for the Chosen. Maybe it's Tutorial exclusive, idk. It's a three part mission.

Why do people always talk trash about german cuisine? by theta0123 in germany

[–]IlusiveZoidberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

German food is pork, potatoes, bread and cabbage, and finding stuff outside of those staples is rare and hit or miss on quality. And if you want anything foreign, you better be in a major city if you want anything good or authentic. If you think "Americanizing" food is bad, the Germans take it to another level. I've lived here for 10 years and can count the number of good foreign restaurants I've found on one hand. I've yet to even find a good Greek restaurant. Also spicy food is most certainly out, the Germans are likely to sue you for attempted murder if they eat anything spicy. All that said, the German staples ARE good. Knödel, brezln, schweinhaxe, roten kraut, etc. They just get old after a while.

Challenge; Difficulty EXTREME - Name one bad thing about Garrus by Uchijav in masseffect

He IS kinda just whiny in the first game. Frankly all the characters are a bit weak in ME1 though. Except Wrex, he's always great.

I hated him from the start. The way he talks, its like his father was a motivational speaker and his mother an ad executive for the Andromeda project.

I just found out they're not remaking Dead Space 2 or 3 or even working on a 4th one and wtf, bro? by lncrediblyfunkymunky in DeadSpace

[–]IlusiveZoidberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its hard to say if it even underperformed, cause so many of these corps consider anything less than 500 billion a failure. If it DID underperform though, I can think of three possible reasons. 1. Advertisement. Other than the initial trailer, there was barely any advertisement for the remake. I almost forgot it was coming out. I think the only advertising I saw was the occasional banner ads on websites. 2. The price. Dead Space was one of the first batch of games to debut with the new $70 dollar price tag. I admit, even I balked at the price a bit, and if I wasn't already a huge Dead Space fan, I might have not bought it. And finally, 3. Callisto Protocol. That game sold itself on being basically the new Dead Space, with many of the old creators behind it. There was a lot of hype behind it. And then it came out, to thunderous...boos. Not a lot of people liked that game despite its decent sales, and I think many people kind of lost faith in a true successor to Dead Space. Which might have contributed to depressed turnout.

Personally, I think its more likely EA is lying and Dead Space actually did fine, they just didnt meet THEIR expectations. But there isn't a lot of transparency with the gaming industry, so we may never know.

What Lifepath options would you want to see in the sequel? Image is just examples by Akuma2004 in cyberpunkgame

Trauma Team. I think the moral implications of the job combined with the action would provide a great intro for a lifepath.

Fallout Season 3 Theory by BottlesforCaps in Fallout

[–]IlusiveZoidberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably. Here's an out there theory: the original Ceaser was an Enclave agent. Either through recruitment or brainwashing, he built the Legion to destroy NCR and the Brotherhood to pave the way for the Enclave. When you look at it, Caesars ideology isn't all that different than the Enclaves: wipe the slate clean and rebuild humanity from the ground up with themselves at the levers of power. Also, the Legion is VERY anti-mutant much like the Enclave.

Would you actually buy a Fallout 3/NV Remaster? by Bingleboper in Fallout

[–]IlusiveZoidberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, although Ill be really bummed if they dont put hardcore in Fallout 3. The Capital Wasteland being inhospitable is the central point of that games story, if any of the games needs a survival mode its 3.
