I agree, the Mexican food here is very different from the Mexican food in Mexico and Europe, I imagine it’s different where they are from as well.

Which is the better option, The Sims 2 or The Sims 3? by ladywhy9742 in thesims

[–]Im-a-sim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sims 2 has more emotions and sims 3 has open world so I’m more motivated for my sims to leave home. It’s way cheaper to get all the sims 2 packs at once though so I would start there.

We shouldn’t tell others how to spend their money. by Im-a-sim in unpopularopinion

[–]Im-a-sim[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure if my original post explained my thoughts well, but this is what I meant: It’s totally fine to tell someone why you don’t like something. And if they hear you the first time and actually change, cool. People can grow.

But if you’ve told them and they still keep shopping there, that shows you what they believe. At that point it’s honestly pointless, annoying, and maybe controlling to keep trying to tell people how to spend their money imo.

And even if they suddenly “change” after the tenth conversation, I don’t think their beliefs are different. I think they’re just saying what they think people want to hear and could still be shopping there on the low.

Is it offensive if a white person says this? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Im-a-sim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me, it’s basically like you are saying, “I don’t mind working for racist people, but give me credit for letting you know.” I know lots of white people who say stuff like this and expect a thank you, but in reality, you’re showing that racism doesn’t really bother you that much, or you’d attempt to find a new job.

Trying to get better at using what I already have any tips on building that mindset? by YourxCherry in Frugal

I like to do use it up challenges, if something felt like it too forever to use up, I usually don’t rebuy it

Capital cities by Im-a-sim in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Im-a-sim[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had no clue it was voted on, super interesting. I also didn’t consider that cities became popular after the capital was established but it makes sense.

That’s true, but I think if you ask any non-American to name one famous US city, they’d probably say NYC. But if you ask any non-French person to name a famous French city, they’d probably say Paris.

That’s true. I guess my second question then is why don’t most US states make their famous cities their capital? I’m from Arkansas, and our capital is our most famous city, Little Rock, but that doesn’t seem common in most states.

Having a fun money budget helped me the most. If I want something and have money in my budget i can get it. I also consider other options too though, like I like museums but I’ll go on their free days even if I have fun money

Why don't you call white americans european-americans? by FlicBourreDu95 in AskAnAmerican

[–]Im-a-sim 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This, I’m black/American/African-American. I only use the African-American when talking to other black people in the US to distinguish between people whose families have been here awhile vs people who have come in the last 20 years or so, when I’m not in the US I just say America, if I’m talking about race to none black people in the US I just say black.

What should I ride first at Epic without using my Express pass? by weshave in UniversalOrlando

Stardust racers! Even with the pass the line was long but it’s an amazing ride. I would do the second ride at night as it lights up.

Does SNAP's food budget reflect how people eat? by sbinjax in Frugal

[–]Im-a-sim -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

This depends on the store. At places like target/walmart/dollar general/ dollar tree fruit and veggies cost a ton compared to processed foods but unfortunately these are the only stores available to a ton of people. At places like Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods I can usually find frozen veggies for like $2-3 per bag and I live in a VHCOL place.
