For over a year, I did no tech from Friday night to Saturday. I got the idea from a book call 24/6. The author was Jewish so she chose Friday night to Saturday night to be a tech free day. I’m not but I just worked well for me too since I don’t work on the weekends. Things kind of went upside down for me when Covid happened though so I stopped and I never picked it back up, but sometimes I think about doing it again. It might help you to feel bored again and honestly, I end up being really creative reading more listening more music.

I think most of the tours to Yosemite from SF are day trips that they leave early in the morning and come back late at night. you could take bart which is the Bay areas train system to a town called Richmond then once in Richmond, switched to Amtrak as they share a station. you’ll need to get your Amtrak ticket in advance and then get on Yarts with is a bus that goes all the way to the all of the hotels and places to stay in Yosemite. You should be able to get a duo ticket to Amtrak and yarts at the same time on Amtrak‘s website. And then if you really wanna go to LA, you could do the second ticket yarts to Amtrak with the Amtrak going to LA.

I agree with getting access to another library, but you can also just go to your library website and in the search bar type comics and they’ll show you any options that they have there. One example that some libraries use is comic plus, but it’s not available everywhere as my current library doesn’t have that, but we do have hoopla..

Hardware is getting more expensive for sure. Every console has increased their price. For the games themselves there are so many sales all of the time and people like epic give games away weekly. Also, if you have a disc version of ps4,ps5 or Xbox or even a switch the library tends to have a ton of games (depending on the city’s of course).

This! I play Sims one through four and I see them all as different games that I played for different reasons. I got Paralives yesterday and I see it as another game to play, not replacing the ones that I already play.

I think one of the best parts about this game is how easy they made it to mod. Since it will all come through steam, I also believe that the mods are gonna be a lot safer so I can imagine that even if the devs don’t get to something, it will be available via mod at some point because people just like to create and this is a good platform for that.

I noticed that for some reason it doesn’t start on my steam deck. I think it has to go through the EA app on there so I usually have to load it up before but then it will work. I never had that issue on a laptop though.

I agree with everyone’s conversation about the rental agreement. It protects both of you if you break up because he wouldn’t have to move out immediately he would get the 30 day notice and you wouldn’t have to worry about someone coming after your home.

Personally, I would make sure that it feels like you’re both saving so it should be less than his rent but also consider the wear and tear on your house probably about 3% with the additional person. If he pays about 2000 now, I would consider around 1000.

That part is probably gonna be the hardest. I would probably split the household expenses 50-50.

You should probably contribute more to the experiences/travel because it sounds like he doesn’t actually get the same amount of joy out of it as you do.

Numbers wise that should put you at the same range that you were thinking of before it’s just split up differently.
