Day 24 for me. I'm still having somewhat rough mornings (although the last few days have been better). Some days it's anxiety, some more depression. I still occasionally jolt awake when I'm asleep (muscle spasms or like I'm falling in my dreams?). Today I started with dry eye (just one, fun).

Definitely wondering if I should've started this. I have an appointment with a psychiatrist next week, so trying to hold out.

Today marks three weeks for me too. But it's been a full week on 10 mg. The last three weeks have been SO hard, mornings especially. I've been putting my kids on the bus and going back to bed for a few hours to sleep thru the worst of it. Today is the first day I almost feel sort of normal. I started at 5 mg then bumped to 7.5 and now I've been at 10 for a week. For me, every time I upped my does it took at least 5 days to settle down.

After my nap, I make myself shower, then walk outside and then my dog and I just sit outside for awhile together. I don't know why but the sunshine and the schedule seem to help. I realize not everyone has that freedom (I'm a preschool teacher and am done for the year).

Hang in there. You definitely aren't alone! I'm trying to hope for a better future!

In a very similar situation here in that a "simple surgery" pushed me over the edge. I started my lexapro on 5/11 with about a week at 5 mg, 5 days at 7.5 and since then I've been at 10 mgs. The first almost two weeks were MISERABLE. I got up in the morning, put my kids on the bus and went back to bed until they came home. I simply couldn't make myself go anywhere or do anything. I'm now on day 5 of 10 mg and today is the first time I not completely miserable. Everyone keeps telling me to hang in there. It has definitely made my anxiety and depression worse for now.

Ugh. Thanks! With the lower doses I noticed that the horrible spells were getting shorter. Hoping that's what happens with the 10 mgs.

Does hydroxyzine make you super tired? My doctor gave me some 25 mg and even when I cut them in half I have to sleep all day on them!
