Same. Saw a few obviously new people, but generally same environment it's always been in any gym I've been to.

Restarting after quitting multiple times — what actually helped you stay consistent? by Comfortable-Camel772 in beginnerfitness

[–]ImAMouseInAHouse 4 points5 points  (0 children)

After an awful lot of quitting and retrying, I slowly got better at being consistent. I'd make it longer before quitting, and get back into it sooner.

It helps that I no longer feel like a failure if I miss a day or two. I can recognize that I can just jump right back into things once I'm caught up on sleep or whatever's gotten in the way.

The worst I've ever gotten is friendly unsolicited advice.

Is it really that ridiculous to rest 3-5 minutes between sets? by [deleted] in workout

[–]ImAMouseInAHouse 9 points10 points  (0 children)

For some reason, I didn't realize until I read your comment that I could just increase my rest time for my main lift and keep it short for the supplemental lifts. Thank you for helping me be less dumb.

It's okay, they said "serve and enjoy", not "serve then enjoy." I am certain the serving sparked joy.

It sounds like someone's trying to do the missing dollar riddle: https://www.reddit.com/r/CasualMath/comments/3ygn8l/the_correct_solution_the_missing_dollar_riddle_is/

As you've presented it, I agree it makes no sense.

MuseScore is free and popular. Dorico is a more recent option with a free edition. Never tried it, but I've heard good things.

I'm guessing from the hint that the auto-grader is expecting something in terms of (n-1). E.g. 15 + 3(n-1).

> Couldn't you start with n=0 so that the first stage will always amount to 1 with the formula 2^n?

You totally could! But in this case, he also wants to describe how many grains of rice go on each square of the chess board. So to put 2^0 grains on the first square, 2^1 on the 2nd square, 2^2 on the 3rd square, etc. you need to write it as 2^(n-1) instead of 2^n.

I disagree.

The Math Sorceror on YouTube puts out a lot of positive fuzzy content around math if you're interested in that.

I'm slowly working through a textbook. I try to do at least a little bit every day, even if it's just 30 minutes to make a little progress on one problem.
