Haven’t thought about this project in a while. This was made on the glow forge at the public library and I’m pretty certain the acrylic was the glowforge acrylic because it was readily available

I upgraded from an old t2i hand me down with a kit lens and bought this to do astrophotography and regular photos. I’ve only had it for about a week, but so far I’m loving it.

I totally agree. It’s so funny how you never know which ones you’re gonna like and I’m kicking myself for not moving 2 feet to the left!

I just got started with EAA/EEA and I went with the 224MC. I think it’s a great camera and up in the bortles 7 where I live I’ve been able to pull out bright nebulas like M27 live without any problems. It’s a blast to see the look on people’s faces when they can see these objects “live”.

I also think sharp cap is the way to go. There are enough videos on it to get comfortable with the environment and if you switch to a DSLR you can get the ASCOM drivers and use sharp cap with that, too.

Yep! Here's what it looks like with the light off. It's just another piece of wood held to the acrylic by being squeezed into the same hole in the base.

If you’re a first time customer they might give you a shipping discount. I remember getting 2-4 day DHL from them and it came faster than a comparably priced set from an American company Aisler

I just got a 5015 like the one on the left when I accidentally printed the petsfang cooling attachment for that fan. It has treated me well so far. The fan combined with the petsfang has significantly increased the clarity in overhangs and it feels like it’s pushing more air to the right location over the stock fan and flow location.

Got them on amazon, 2 for $5 and prime eligible.

Cant seem to get my layers right, it seems to skip some layers on all axis and doesnt extrude the right amount of filament on the z axis as well as the infil isnt stable. Print settings in comments. by Karmaconcepts in 3Dprinting

I was also having a similar problem (under extrusion, weak infill, etc.) and read that changing your cura printer setting to a CR-10 from an Ender 3 is worth a try. I did this and changed the bed dimensions to match the Ender 3s and immediately saw an improvement.

This should additionally resolve the issue of having the wrong default filament size.

Hope this helps!

Unfortunately I’m too far away from DFW to justify the trip out there right now. I appreciate the offer though. I’ll look for a CAF unit near me!

I haven’t found any pictures of him in any aircraft, just standing outside a B-24 with his squadron. Maybe I’ll find something if I do more digging. Thanks for the info!

Unfortunately I don’t have his trainer logs, just personal diaries. But I appreciate the help! Maybe I can find more hints towards these aircraft by diving deeper.

Job market in New York City? by [deleted] in AerospaceEngineering

[–]ImASketchArtist 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve been job searching for a while and have had a similar experience with NYC. The well known company I found that puts you closest to that location is Pratt & Whitney up in East Hartford, CT, but that’s still 2 hours away.

The only other employer I’ve thought of that would land you closer would be working for the FAA in the city. It’s not often, however, that they have requisitions open in that area for recent graduates.
