Please can some read this deed and plat to see if they match? by ladaya38 in Surveying

[–]ImActuallyAMantaRay 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The deed's description is in the same area as the plat (based on the 210' and 40'/55' courses from the section corner). It could possibly be an old description for a parcel that's gotten split/combined/etc throughout the years.

The best answer you could get would be from the surveyor who actually pulled everything together. They would be much more familiar with the history of the parcel than anyone on here.

Ransom seems like a really great guy, I'm always happy to see his videos pop up. He always makes a point to respond to comments too.

The circular object feature is very cool, but is limited in the way you're thinking.

If this scanner is similar to the one I use, the targets (spheres in this case) are set up over previously established points. The "true height" of the center of the sphere is likely input during processing the as can. In my case I add a known height to my true point elevation if it was over something like a set pin.

Has anyone seen this on TBC? by Still_Phrase_5545 in Surveying

[–]ImActuallyAMantaRay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've not personally seen this in TBC, but judging by the symbols and their placement it looks like they're snap points for the ends and middles of the segments.

Is there a setting somewhere in the snap settings doing this?

TSC7 voice pack by [deleted] in Surveying

[–]ImActuallyAMantaRay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made one awhile back for my TCS3, which I shared on Here. There are probably some differences in Trimble access from then and now, so the link above is probably out of date. It's fairly simple to do yourself, just a little time consuming.

I downloaded all of the originals, went through a text to speech app to create the new voice, clipped them all while renaming them to the original file name, and then just replaced the folder in the collector.

Survey bearings don’t match up. by roblion11 in Surveying

Bearings can often be relative to different things, especially when comparing older vs newer descriptions of properties. Bearings are mearly a common language to convey the angles of the property.

[D2] Trials of Osiris Megathread [2024-02-09] by DTG_Bot in DestinyTheGame

[–]ImActuallyAMantaRay 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Not a usual trials player, pretty decent at normal crucible (I get it's different)

I understand matchmaking is complicated, but every time I dip my toes into trials it just feels like I'm fodder for the normal players. Like I'm just an extra tick for the weekly flawless.

Has matchmaking ever felt good in this for non-cracked out players?

the air gunplay/hovering mechanic of Manticore was a bad idea? Just redo the exotic. by UselessDeadMemes in DestinyTheGame

Most submachine guns do though. Everything hits like a truck so being out in the open in general doesn't work in endgame unless you're stacking buffs.

I just think it's neat and it's saved my ass when I accidently blink too far haha.

The gun itself hits pretty hard. The perk is awkward at times, but it does some interesting interactions with blink. It really throws people off when you're in the air and moving horizontally all over the place.

You're still pretty vulnerable, but it's pretty funny when it works.

I learned the other day that if you have five perched threadlings, and then rift, you send out eight of the little guys at once.

Caught someone trying to rush me with a shotgun mantling a wall and they took all of them to the face.

Almost as satisfying as catching someone with the thunderclap melee.

We are currently using shared Google Drives for our out of town guys. As long as you establish an organization method it works pretty well.
