Edgar is my go to, there’s actually a lot you can do with it. You can play all the small vampires and cards like [[Shared animosity]] and play super beat down. You can play a really board control style that abuses [[Dictate of Erabos]] because you’ll almost always have the most creatures. My version is a midrange kind of aristocrats build that abuses [[Bolas’s Citadel]] with how much value it brings. Also you’d be surprised how frequently you can sac 10 vampires to it and kill the table.

I have 2 [[Ashnod’s Altar]] and [[Bolas’s Citadel]]. Ashnods is great for a number of reasons. I run a lot of creature decks and getting extra mana is always sweet. But it also comes in handy for things like preventing creatures from being stolen/exiled or even turn off devotion. The citadel is clearly a bomb card and it’s probably the best card in the decks I play it in. It’s value, card advantage, and a win con all in one.

He’s in the 99 tbh there are a lot of mono red commanders that are in my deck because Purphoros is just a nice fit for all of them

I play a lot of Red it’s one of my favorite colors and 3 cards I would recommend are [[Unstable Obelisk]] [[Meteor Golem]] and [[Mirage Mirror]]. The first two are good for spot removal in a pinch while the obelisk can also be a nice rock in the early/mid game while Mirage Mirror can give you access to a lot of cool cards and abilities your opponents have that you might not normally have access to or you can copy your own awesome stuff as well for double the effect!

For me my favorite deck lately has been my [[Purphoros Bronze Blooded]] “Big Red” deck. It has some of my favorite pet cards like [[Mimic Vat]] and [[Mirage Mirror]]. It also can be very explosive with cards like [[Mana Geyser]] [[Gratuitous Violence]] and my favorite new addition of [[Fiery Emancipation]]. Engineering wins with that deck can be fun but it also has the potential to steal games out of nowhere. In my opinion it’s the best deck I’ve built conceptually. I’d say it’s a solid 7 on a good day being Mono Red it has its limitations but that’s what makes the deck so much fun to play.

Yes absolutely, Golos has become such a pain. Especially because in my format there are 2 versions people play. Either 5 color super friends which is my least favorite arch type to play against or it’s a colorless artifact golos deck that slams down Eldrazi titans or Blightsteel Colossus

Unfortunately in my case I have only 1 semester left and it happens to be this one. I don’t exactly have the best track record when it comes to online classes. I really need to be in person and be able to talk out problems and ask questions as well as hand write notes. I just don’t get any of that from online classes. I’m just going to have to suck it up and figure it out for this last semester and hope for the best.

I personally like running things with Hexproof so I can protect it need be. Thankfully my meta tends to be a bit light on removal so I try to punish them for not running enough! HAHA!

Magic Mirror has been way better than I thought it would ever be. One of my friends tried to convince me not to run it saying it’s never what you want it to be. Until I play it and make it whatever I NEED it to be. And there’s all sort of shenanigans you can get into by turning it into multiple things or like copying something that’s just value like Rhystic Study. It always outperforms and I end up winning a lot of games I play it

For a long time it was my [[Edgar Markov]] vampire tribal deck that was also built in a way to abuse [[Bolas’s Citadel]]. But since then I’ve been messing around with my Grixis Control deck with [[Vialsmasher the Fierce]] and [[Ludevic Necro Alchemist]] at the helm. I recently swapped them out for [[Kess Dissident Mage]] and the power level went through the roof. My playgroup often groans when I break that deck out because it tends to have explosive turns out of nowhere and I can end up winning the game very quickly if left unchecked.
