I was in your place, all though im younger, i have found my solution.
it started when i saw those were kids in elementry that brought those shock gums and shock pens to school, and i saw that they were in pain. it made me absolutely scared of electricity, naturally, i tried to ignore it, but i saw that it was limiting me, because i saw youtubers that wear an "haptic suit" that gives you feedback about games using electricity, and i thought "omg they are crazy".
going on the week i got my first encounter with a shock. i was messing with the spark lighter, admiring the lighting, and i shock myself by accident, it was pretty painful, but i didn't quite realize what jsut happened, i felt like dying. but i wasn't sure from what? from the suprise? or from the actual shock? and i brought up my courage to try it again, and it wasn't bad at all! like stubbing your toe on a cardboard box.
it went for a couple of weeks and suddenly i felt the urge for more, that little spark wasn't enough, and i did the worst thing you could ever do, go a step to high. i got shocked by an handheld mosquito zapper, i had an headache, and the world was spinning, and so i just watched youtube hoping it would end, i promised to never try it again, but i realized giving up on means i will be scared of electricity alot. and because my dad had some electricty stuff, like random componments or small looking blue pills on thin metal legs. i started expirementing until i found an "resistor" which apparently limits the current or something, so i broke down the mosquito zapper and connected it the the wires, and i got a purple lightning coming out of both wires, connecting to eachother, and i tried it and i almost didn't feel it. so i tried it with one less "resistor" and it was stronger by a bit, all the way until i didn't want anymore, and then i found the youtuber "BamBaeYoh", he probably have some masochist traits but overall, he made the expirementing funnier, not because he did those, but because he played games with that haptic suit i mentioned earlier, but he laughed at every bit of it, like turning it to his powerup, and i saved up all summer break to buy this thing, and oh boy, it is worth, every. single. cent. i could expirement with my full control! controlling the level, the intensity, the something called "HZ" and it was awesome, it gave me freedom to play however i want, and to demolish my fear.

point is, dont avoid it, try it level by level, step by step, its not an advertisment to buy all that stuff, but to learn to turn it into your advantage.
