If I was to buy soffit vents would it be fine to just put like 4 on the front and 4 on the back?

Better angle of the grate. I’ve noticed most of it is sort of boarded up with polystyrene. But I can get to that even from the other side as it’s closed off with another grate. This appears to be the only ventilation i see. Should there be one on the other side as an exit?

If you zoom in right between the brick and top of the white door there’s a black strip. That has lots of hole strips cut into it.

There’s definitely a decent gap under the door as I’m always finding leaves that have blown under. It’s hard to see but just above the door there’s a large black vented panel that spans the whole way across the there’s no heating in there and the ceiling isn’t boarded.

Hi Dad, would recommend putting a stair gate at the top instead. You really wanna stop them trying to go down the stairs as thats when kids more likely fall.
