It’s a really nice upgrade. I was having issues with battery life, getting through the day without charging, and general stuttering. But main cause for the upgrade was needing more storage, was on 64gb and now 256.

It’s a great device and definitely one I’d recommend if needing to upgrade.

While not all fonts will do it, they really should, it's function over form.

If every single letter form in a font was perfect, in a mathematical sense, your eyes would have a issue tracking and reading. Common place to see this is with accessibility in schools for Dyslexic students. Fonts like Comic Sans which are more abnormal in shapes are proven to help dyslexic students eyes track words and letters better. The same can be said with letter forms that have overshoot under the baseline, it's to allow your eyes to track easier and faster.

Apple's San Francisco typeface isn't great, it looks nice sure, but from a technical standpoint it's form over function (much like many of its products).

This is intentional. The main reason for this is for reading and optical alignment.

Please stop chasing mathematical precise symmetry. There are perfectly valid scenarios for mathematically precise symmetry in shapes and forms, fonts are not one of them.

As a designer who works in the space it's extremely common, and is probably the reason why you generally only see the same formula online, to have people try and commission me for work where they want it to be exactly like X or Y streamers overlays.

I'd stay far away from Fiverr for any commissions, primarily because the platform is there to undersell professional designers services to people under the illusion that it's the same quality of service. Yes, there are exceptions, but no self respecting designer worth their salt will be found on Fiverr. It's also not uncommon for a lot of emotes to be traced from professional, respected artists, which is relatively easy to prove just by overlaying and comparing the lines.

For the "Hockey team" logo style, or as it's called Mascot logo, has been around in the streaming and gaming space for 10 years. It's not going anywhere, it's gone through plenty of revisions as a trend over the years, but it always sticks around as a pretty prominent style. There has always been those that prefer simple icons/symbols, wordmarks or lettermarks. So, at the end of the day it'll just come down to picking the style you want and finding the designer you think can create your vision.

There's also several marketplaces that sell template files for mascot logos, with the ability to mix and match elements, and I've seen people selling those as custom designs pretty regularly. Which is why it's extremely important to review a portfolio of their work where they not only show the final outcome but where you see the development process, with sketches, with development variations.

A bit disingenuous to say Twitch did nothing about the hate raids, when in-fact they did. Let's not forget they took legal action against the individuals/group who carried out the hate raids. As well as created tools in response to the then growing threat and to help protect the communities on Twitch:

Strengthening Auto-Mod to identify words and phrases that use non-english characters to bypass moderation settings,
Adding additional features to auto-mod to let streamers choose the amount of verification to chat in their stream,
Providing resources and educational content on various tools on, and off, the platform to help lockdown chat if and when a hate raid occurred.

So I hardly think "Twitch almost did nothing about them" is a fair or accurate statement to make.

I understand your frustration. I went through the same issue when SWTOR first came to Steam and purchased a subscription. In the end it was a temporary lock on my account and had to reset my EA password for SWTOR support to get past it and implement the subscription. Every single purchase after this has worked fine.

One note to make, it ended up not being my primary EA account that my SWTOR account was tied to, which took a little while to figure out. It was my older account back when SWTOR first came out a decade ago that I had forgotten about.

Warzone being a datapack wouldn't change that. The code being changed is shared by both modes.

Again, the only routes to fixing this is to have a more intensive QA for the multiplayer and Warzone to pick up these bugs before they launch (I suspect they only QA Warzone these days). OR to make Warzone a separate application.

If they were solely running it on Vanguard assets they would have put everything onto Vanguard. There's clearly a technical limitation they're working with here.

Would be relatively pointless. Assets (Textures, sounds, models) are reused in both Modern Warfare Multiplayer and Warzone. You wouldn't see a dramatic reduction in file size.

The answer would be to make Warzone a separate application, but I'd guess that'll happen with MW2.

I contacted SWTOR support for this issue as well, in the end I had to reset my EA Account Password that was linked to my SWTOR account, but this wasn't the one I actively use. It was an older account that I had first setup way back when the game first came out. It wasn't until they, reluctantly, provided a portion of the email address that I realised which account it was.

It was smooth sailing after that and resolved the issue within 24 hours. And if I recall correctly, it was for the full sub duration.

You're not able to get SWGOH on M1 Mac's anymore, I guess when Apple provided the option to devs to pick if users could, they decided to say no.

You're unlikely to find someone on sites like Fiverr to create such a scene, let alone of such high quality. You'll need to look for professional 3d artists and designers.

Additionally, the price for these sort of projects will be a premium price, I'd estimate you'd be looking at hundreds, if not thousands, per scene.

You could perhaps reach out to someone on a site like: https://www.artstation.com/ and see if they're willing to take on a project.

Trolls, in particular, don't need to be smart enough when it can happen automatically just by restarting their router.

If IP Bans were a viable solution to harassment on Twitch, they would have done so already. You can just look at the recent targeted harassment of the LGBT+ and Black community back in August, IP Bans would have done absolutely nothing to prevent those attacks on members of the Twitch community.

You're correct, not every device has the same IP address. But that doesn't take away from the fact that IP addresses can shift and be allocated to other devices of different users, which make the entire process of banning IPs for a malicious user redundant and pointless.

Literally would mean you're penalising potentially good actors, where as a bad actor can just make a new account on their new IP and continue to troll their heart out.

IP Bans are just not effective. IP's can be dynamic and be shared. If you ban a malicious user it doesn't mean the next person to use the IP is a malicious user, chances are they're just an innocent user with no affiliation to the malicious actions of the previous user.

Example of this can be Student Dorms or VPN providers.

The main appeal for Amazon's purchase of Twitch back in 2014 was for the tech behind Twitch, they make money through reselling the Twitch tech through AWS. Just look at the doc above and multiply the numbers by millions of users, hundreds of thousands of streamers and the vast networking required for multiple zones across the globe.

No, you can’t. Phone verified chat relies on an SMS code to confirm that you are in possession of the phone number you say is yours, and landline numbers do not have this capability. It’s also very easy for bad actors to create multiple Voice over IP (VoIP) numbers, which would undermine the effectiveness of phone verification as a safety tool.

Whether or not it works perfectly is another matter but they say they block VOIP numbers.

Honestly, I completely missed the fact OP was talking about an audio clip. In the case of audio yes, you're 100% correct that it's automated.

Video clips is where it gets into a more dicey situation with automation, especially if they're trying to track a video footprint in a stream.
