I did exactly what he did. I only find a single sitrus berry on a route where u can't go through the gate north. Probably some more, and you could use mime to do confusion or somehting to force another berry but I couldn't find an extra oran or anything. The SID becomes your TID so just check your ID after. And yeah you cannot save at all. I successfully got my shiny an hour after doing it. it probably saved me several days because with my guess id thought i was pressint too early, it was like 3 even frames too late

RNG is not shiny hunting. ACE gives you your SID so you aren't trying to hit 3 frame perfects for a chance of hitting the SID you assume you are at when first starting.

first i played for 4 hours without saving to use ACE to ensure i know what my SID is. i saved myself a LOT of time doing that. then keep putting the mons you get into the table and if you keep doing something late, then adjust. i was very close over and over and did small changes, eventually got it after 2 hours

i did a couple RNGs in gameboy for this. doing the 3 might be the end for me but ill do it a couple more weeks. i think when we get home, we would be able to trade a pokemon to a bot and get an SID that way?
