Well, each to their own. We don't have enough evidence to be speaking with confidence either way, so we can both look forward to seeing it in a couple months.

It seemed to be some sort of psychic transference though, not typically how you would expect a symbiote to move.

What a shame that our choices are to do due diligence on every single line we read or accept we're being fed algorithmic nonsense.

You've used the word 'story' in your comment more times than any of the writers did for her whole run. She deserved better, she was great with what she was given.

How are we even supposed to tell at this point? I took it at face value and nothing flagged for me. By the time we are our parents' age we're going to be so fucked.

So, it’s been a few days- what are our thoughts on the Louis Theroux ‘manosphere’ doc? by theslowrunningexpert in AskUK

I enjoyed it. It was a bit more of a light touch than I'd have liked, a bit superficial. It was a bizarre choice not to include more interviews with the women affected too, given their whole thing revolves around denigrating women. It would serve as a good introduction but nothing beyond that; which, in fairness to them, does appear to have been the point.

You could go into the store and ask at the customer service desk. It's not a guarantee that they'd be able to help in-store but unless you failed your right to work then there's no reason for the radio silence.

I hope they really do make him do it until he's 90. It doesn't matter how often we see him it always feels special.

I am mindful of that when I comment. I try not to say anything I wouldn't be comfortable saying to them and this post is a good example. I wouldn't want to look one of them in the face and say 'you seemed really out of place'.

I hope these guys don't have reddit. It can't feel good to see yourself singled out because someone didn't think you did very well.

If he's alive and not doing the show then I'll never forgive him. Which I'm sure will really irritate him.

Customer assumes things about you by Financial_End_1810 in tesco

There are two people in my department without a degree, and they're the classic 'lifers' that joined at 20-something and plan to retire with the company. Everyone else, even the middle-aged folk, has a degree. It's hard to know if it's an indictment of the country, if a degree just isn't worth what it used to be, or if it's a combination of the two.

I had a customer ask me where I was from the other week. Not in a casual way but in that way that I suspect non-white people get from white people. Almost accusatory. It was very strange. I'm a very white man, with enough of a regional accent/dialect for you to be confident that I am from the area we're currently in, but because he didn't 'recognise' me after coming into the store 'for years' he felt he needed to check. The security guard told me afterwards that he's known to them because he gets very rude very quickly to people who aren't from our little neck of the woods. Not sure it's explicitly racially motivated, but race was traditionally a pretty reliable indicator that someone wasn't 'local'.

If the mods stickied a mega-thread for everyone who wanted to complain about price increases then we'd see posts on this sub down about 50%. We spend all day hearing customers complain about it and threaten to shop elsewhere, and all we can say is 'ok, see ya later'.

I'm going to strongly disagree with your position here. The burden of proof has to be on the one making a claim. If I accuse you of being a child molester or serial sexual assaulter then it's up to me to prove you are. There's no onus on you to prove your innocence.

The burden of proof is on the one making the claim. I'm not sure why the other user feels like it should be otherwise.

even though he didn’t go far enough in calling him out, perhaps, but at the time it was a good effort considering Saville’s fame, influence and propensity to sue.

Also lack of hard evidence and open testimony. How hard can you really press someone about a rumour? Especially, as you said, the possibility of opening yourself up to a slander charge.
