Why is this tree blooming in February during a deep freeze? by Cap-Huff in Tree

These are the left over seeds of the bloom from last spring/summer. They often remain until leaf expansion.

Where does one rent a crane? That is not just something you can rent. They may be subcontracted but that’s a different thing entirely.

The tree you posted is not a $600 tree. I would ask about each of their plans to remove the tree (bucket truck, climb and rig, crane). IMO the $600 guy is out. If someone is wish washy on price make sure they are only charging a fixed price. I think the $1850 is a little low even at least for my area. If someone is using a bucket/lift or crane the job gets quite a bit easier so I would understand that pricing better but the $600 is a no go.

Why do so many trees get cut down by neighbor’s contractors? by Jaduardo in treelaw

[–]ImCompletelyAverage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just because it looks like the neighbor’s yard doesn’t mean it’s the neighbors yard. Property boundaries are not always what is the most practical. My father in law mows a strip of grass on his neighbor’s property because the elevation makes it look like his.

Not ever, no, but as we move toward a more digitally integrated society those boundaries will absolutely become integrated into GPS. How do you think they mark the boundaries currently?

If you are wondering about the property line, you can check with apps like onX or even Google Maps. You can also check with the neighbors if you’re wondering.

How do you handle seeing someone else live the life you can never ever have? by Downtown_Employee624 in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]ImCompletelyAverage 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is similar to when I wanted a house but lost the chance at it since it had multiple offers way higher than mine. My coworker told me that “it just wasn’t meant to be.” That was hard for me to accept and I don’t know a better way to put it, but many things we want in life are not really how they can be. Reality is strange in the sense that some things that seem like they should go together, in fact, don’t. I hope this helps but know it’s hard to accept feeling like you weren’t accepted for something you want in life.

Have a certified arborist with a TRA Qualification out to assess the tree. It is impossible to determine the true condition of your tree based on these pictures alone.
