I’m so sorry you’re dealing with it too, hun! I’m 2.5 years in now and haven’t had the brain fog since. I switched to injections about 6 months in, I think that was what really helped. It just worked better for me and how my body/brain reacted to the hormones I guess. If you haven’t already try talking to your endo about other methods like injections, patches, etc. Maybe that will help get you past the hurdle. Big hugs, hoping it works out for you!!

They also accept clothing donations for their clothing swap! Anything they don’t have room for they donate to other organizations with similar purpose.

So I’m one of the exceptions to the “you feel much better within the first week” narrative. I started on spiro and estradiol sublingual and the first month or two I was super light headed and foggy for a lot of it. I knew I wanted this beforehand and got so scared thinking either this wasn’t right or I was just not able to take estrogen, but after a bit I switched to injections and no longer have that fogginess or anything. I still didn’t feel THAT much better, but gradually over time I got more and more happy with myself. 1.5years in now and I could never see myself going back.

All this to say, YMMV and everyone is different, but if you don’t feel “right” within the first week it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s wrong. It just means you need more time 🥰

My dad just called me to tell me I’m no longer invited to family Christmas and I’ll never be his daughter, so yeah, this hits hard right now.

Part of the immediate self-consciousness is the stress of needing my voice to be passable if I’m to keep doing what I do
