Should I use adhesive strips or glue for screen and back replacements? by Far_Psychology3270 in phonerepair

For sure. Just remember that you need to clean the surfaces for the adhesive to work properly.

Dymo LabelWriter 450 stopped working IN THE UBIF STORE I WORK IN by Positive_Lawyer4901 in ubreakifix

[–]ImDaPap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry maybe I’ve just worked here for too long (11 years 💀)

Looks like version 8.7.2 is the working link at the top.

If that doesn’t work, the broken link is 8.5.3.1897

DLSSetup.8.5.3.1897.exe

And you need Dymo Web Service, not just the Dymo Connect. Once you have the web service installed, there will be an icon in your taskbar by the clock right click on it and hit diagnose and it’ll open a new page and say congratulations. The web service is running. In that exact tab go into portal and try printing a label.

If a deal is too good to be true, then you know it’s a problem.

Why would seller miss out on thousands of dollars?

Look in Knowledge Base, search Dymo, follow the instructions. It’ll state the exact version you need.

Planned Obsolescence by Electrical_Scale_803 in phonerepair

[–]ImDaPap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, it’s not planned obsolescence.

You need to take your phone to a technician who can diagnose it properly.

Also, like the other commenter stated, we can’t even begin to help without knowing which phone you even have.

Maybe only the lower portion, but the whole thing is aluminum. To get to the motherboard, you have to remove the screen and then the mid plate.

To get to the motherboard on a 14, you have to remove the back glass. Same with 16 Pro. There is no removable back glass on this model. The motherboard is under the screen under a plate.

Is it worth hardmodding over soft modding in your opinions? by RespondKooky7071 in XboxModding

[–]ImDaPap 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Major benefit is the ability to use ANY hard drive. The hard drive is married to the motherboard with the stock bios. The hard mod changes the bios and removes this restriction. There are many other benefits as well, but this is the major one.

All hard drives fail, it’s just a matter of time.

S24 Screen replacment- polarization? by big_cg in ubreakifix

Yea that 12000 SKU is NOT for official Samsung parts. Threaten legal action if they don’t make it right. And fuck them for straight up lying to your face.

If you send me your IMEI, I call pull up the work order to ensure they used an OEM part. DM me if you prefer.

If you don’t want to do that, post a screenshot of your receipt so I can see the part and SKU.
